Through my photography I aim to share the experience, thoughts, emotions and sensations I encounter as I journey into the wonders of our extraordinary environment. The quest of searching for the perfect images that capture and communicate the essence of our Australian landscape is very much a passion for Stephen Reid. As an opportunistic photographer, the vast bulk of Stephen's images are taken wh

ile having a break from his primary occupation. These forays into beautiful country energize Stephen's spirit and fill him with an appreciation of the grandeur of the Australian landscape. Stephen trusts his photography provides you with the same joy and uplifting inspiration it provides him when he captures the image. Prints can be purchased via http://stephen-reid.artistwebsites.com or by contacting Stephen directly via email [email protected]

Further to our journey in Switerland, Martina and her father showed us the beautiful Lucerne and stunning Burgenstock before Annette and I travelled down to Lugano - a decadent Swiss town with a real Italian ambience.

The soundtrack 'Old Friends, New Skies' was written in celebration of the wonderful opportunity to visit the homes and favourite spots in the back yards of our son Jake (Wales) and exchange students Filip (Sweden), Martina (Switzerland) and Virginia (Italy).

"Until We Meet Again" is a birthday tribute to my mother — a song that turns grief into gratitude. Rather than dwelling on loss, it celebrates her quiet strength and the everyday moments where she still shows up: in a passing thought, on the wind, in a butterfly catching the light. It's less a goodbye than a promise, a reminder that the people we love never really leave us, they just find new ways to stay close.

To accompany the song I have used a selection of fog images that start of darker and blues and then as the song move to celebration warmer toned images join in and of course a couple of butterfly images.

Who is on your thoughts?
