Lower River cops some hail in first significant rainfall of the month

This afternoon brought some tempestuous weather to Yamba with heavy rain, howling winds and hail. I was lucky to be able to race down to the Witonga Boat Ramp and grab some photos before the storm rolled over us. I love how smooth the water is. Not long after this shot the wind started to whip up some waves. What an amazing contrast to the beautiful sunset I captured from this same location last week!

Spent a lovely afternoon yesterday with the talented make up artist Endessa Schrader from Endessa's Make Up and Beauty and the lovely model Chloe.

Even though I am posting rarely I am still photographing a lot. For those that don't know I'm studying at Uni and I've tended to neglect my page. I am still available for weddings and portraits and welcome all enquiries :-)

I'm afraid I haven't been overly active on Facebook for a while. Between studying and shooting, there just hasn't been a lot of time for social media. Hopefully, this will change now I've settled into Uni mode. I took a little bit of time off this afternoon to photograph some brolgas that are not too far away from home. It's been a while since I've been out shooting for myself so this was quite refreshing. I'm still missing the elusive dancing brolga photo that I'd love to capture so I may have to head out there again at some point. Oh yes, a random sunset pelican also made the cut.

I can't believe that it's been 10 years this month since I registered my photography business and started on what has been a life changing adventure. Like most adventures, it has had it's ups and downs and I am grateful for everyone of them. The amazing places I've been and incredible people I have met are all because I decided to become a photographer. Thank you to everyone who supported me because I would not have a business without any of you. I had thoughts to celebrate this achievement momentously with a slideshow and big announcement of all that I have achieved but being a naturally quiet person, I decided a Facebook status to record the event is enough. My own personal way to commemorate this achievement is to go out today and take the very best wedding photos I can to celebrate something way more important than my 10 year anniversary, Sarah and Alan's Wedding.
