Apparently, yesterday was black cat appreciation day.

2 out of 3 of my cats are voids.
Did you know theres still stigmas to this day surrounding black cats?
They are still the least adopted cat.
I honestly don't know why, I love my 2 voids.
I adopted my big boy Loki from Angourie Road Veterinary Surgery a few years back. My more recent small girl Kuro I adopted from a Happy Paws Haven Inc adoption day at Pets Domain.

What's funny to me is that both times, I went in for completely different cats. I walked out with Loki because he was bomb proof, and didn't flinch around my loud children.
I walked out with Kuro because when I went to pet her because she was all alone, she licked my finger and smooched up as close as she could!
That was me done and sold apparently.

Happy (belated) Black Cat Appreciation Day!

Today's glimmer involves some Waratah anemones in a rock pool at Brooms Head.
After picking my kids up from school I wanted to get some ice cream and spend some time with them after getting the news of a family member passing on.
Hug your loved ones tightly.

Beautiful Red Cliff.
Not to be confused with Redcliffe north of Brisbane.

Red Cliff stands proud in Yuraygir National Park and is culturally significant to the Yaegl and Bundjalung people. It's a place of gathering. People camp. The kangaroos wander through the middle of your campsite. The local dolphins frolick in the waves. The wrens flit about in the shrubs. The whales do their annual migration.
The cliffs standing tall like sentinels over it all.

Unfortunately this big beauty is cracking and crumbling.

A reminder that nothing is permanent.
And there is beauty in imperfection.

As most of you know, I do some stuff around the surf club, specifically with the Nippers side of things. You'll usually see me with camera in hand on Sunday mornings, or an officials shirt on for Carnival days.

This year is flying by and we're getting closer to those wonderful summer days, and the start of Nipper season.

If you want your kids to be confident and safe in the ocean, be active and be involved in a community, come join us at the surf club. Info on the flyer, email the surf club for any additional info.

Look at these sweet water puppies!
I love seeing Wobbygongs. I usually run in to their larger family members when snorkelling, so seeing some sweet babies made my day.

The way the afternoon sun shines through the trees. It's just ✨️ magic ✨️ as far as I'm concerned.
