🧡 Well, the FLINDERS RANGES just does that - surprises you when you least expect it !
Golden orange hills momentarily wowed us as the sun went down at our campsite.
Photos and videos never do these scenes justice ! Lasted all of one minute at its vibrant best !

Tag a friend you’d love to explore this hike with !

👀 The views are pretty amazing when suddenly you arrive on the Lockley Pylon trail plateau❗️

📷 🥾This hike is about 7 km return, 2 to 3 hours, give or take - if you’re like us and like to stop to soak up the scenery (allow more time), take photographs with some of the best views in the Blue Mountains.

📷 🥾This walk traverses through a heath to a small peak overlooking eucalyptus forest of the Grose valley and climb up to Lockley Pylon. If wildflowers are your thing, come in Spring.

📷 🥾Excellent bird watching of course, pack a picnic/munchies, take your thermos, jetboil and admire the views 🌼🌱🌿

📍This magnificent sculpture you will find at the Living Desert State Park at Broken Hill. It is just one of many standing high and proud above the outskirts of town.

This reminds me of the Trojan horse however it is a tribute to horses and particularly to the Georgian horse breed.

Best time to visit is an hour or so before sunset - and hope you nail a magnificent one 🌅 Thankfully we did and I look forward to sharing those images soon 😮

It was great to meet one of the locals at this iconic outback town, they cruise around keeping an eye on things. He suggested a coldie and a pub meal at the hotel so that’s exactly what we did. That’s a given when you visit this little town ! Next 🔜 I’ll be posting some more images of our visit !

There’s certainly some incredible rock formations in outback Australia - the first thought that came to mind when I saw this was ‘ouch’ ! These are common all throughout the ranges in the outback of South Australia and NSW.
