👋 I’m Rachel and I'm stoked that you're here with me. If you've been here for a while, you'll already know that I'm a photographer and a mum of three boys.
What you might not know is that before going all in on my photography business, I spent 15 years working in rehabilitation as an Exercise Physiologist. Some of the things I would do on a daily basis included helping people learn how to walk after surgery, helping people get strong so they could get back home, and I also facilitated training of staff to help reduce the chance of injuries for staff and patients alike. It is this experience that is the difference between a photographer who takes a photo of a person vs how I link all the components and create a photo that you feel great about.
It's the little things that make someone look and feel like the best version of who they truly are. The clenched shoulder? The rotated foot? The smiling mouth but not the eyes? I see it all.
And that’s particularly important when it comes to headshots. The difference is having someone behind the camera who knows how to bring out the version of you that you can feel proud of.
Showing up online is hard enough without having a photo of yourself that you don't love.
If I was an influencer, would I call my rehab background my secret sauce? 🤣
I'm around today for chats, if you are wondering if Headshot Day is the right fit for you, or any other questions, send me a DM and let's have a chat.
