When I first start talking with couples, the first thing many of them tell me is that they have no experience in front of a camera. They don’t feel photogenic, they feel awkward, or they simply don’t know how to pose.

Honestly, I can completely relate. It’s a common feeling when you’re placed in front of a camera without any guidance and expected to somehow know what to do.

That’s not how I work.

My role isn’t to put you into stiff poses or leave you to figure it out on your own. It’s my joy to gently guide you, helping create moments that are natural and worth capturing. Sometimes that means simple movement, sometimes something a little fun that leads to laughter and genuine smiles.

All you have to do is relax, move, laugh, and simply be together.

Because years from now, you won’t care about perfect poses.
You’ll care about how it felt.

This session began as a birthday session.

But as the evening unfolded, it quietly became something else.

In 2022, I witnessed the love of B and M. It was a deep and solid love that was also somehow fresh and new at the same time. I remember working with them in the lead up to the wedding and seeing that they clearly and deeply loved one another. Because of that, it was a big honour to photograph their wedding day. It was the first wedding I photographed, and they are two clients that I treasure very much.

So when I got the chance to photograph their growing family this year, I jumped at it. From walking down the aisle and saying I do, to motherhood and fatherhood and cradling a newborn, it has been amazing to watch this little family grow with their new addition.

It is something I love about meeting my clients. They are not simply that, clients. They are people with stories and connections, hopes and dreams that they are willing to share with me. It feels almost sacred returning to these two and welcoming their new baby.

Love stories truly continue past the wedding day. And it is a privilege to return for what comes next. If your own story is unfolding, I would be honoured to photograph the chapter you are in.
