Some humans are literally sunshine 🌞
This family is that. Every inch of their face smiles....
Its infectious and so beautiful.
Their love for one another is overflowing.

It doesnt matter how awkward they might have originally felt about getting photos. I always take whatever time i can to make everything feel easy and fun, then all thats left to do is play, explore and be... together, in nature without distractions.

Sorry not sorry but i truely do love your kids.
Every time i get to capture your children, a little piece of their personality and sweetness stays with me.
Im grateful i get to meet so many lovely kids and adults.
But mainly kids haha i love kids :)
And dogs...i love dogs too hahaha

Hey hey i say, elope and then surprise your friends at a engagement party - 🥳 what a great way to do it!

These two eloped with their closest family in the morning, it was expected to rain but the forcast changed and it ended up being a beautiful, blue sky day! Couldnt ask for better
They did it in the morning, we had a relaxed easy going approach to doing photos afterwards, snuck a sneaky icecream in then off they went to get ready for a easy low key celebration with they rest of their loved ones.

A party for their engagement and nobody really suspected but then bam suprise they got married that morning!
Loads of congratulations for the married duo and a fun filled day all round.
Lighter on the budget and much less stress :)

So happy for these two

Some stories are best told in black and white

It has been so special being able to get back to shooting, and what better then to get photos for families who are extending their family and in the comfort of home.

A home session isnt a session that means you need to have a show home, no sir-ee it just needs to be your home, and i come and story tell in your space as you are.
We can use all of the house if thats what you wish, or i can capture the photos in a room or a corner... it doesnt take much but can be beautiful regardless :)

Home sessions are the best in winter too, because you dont have to leave the comfort and warmth of home to get beautiful photos with your family

This session has some finishing touches left to go but i want to share some sneaks of this awesome morning with and her family 🤩

Ive wanted to do a shoot like this for some time, just been waiting for a fam to agree to it, so i was stoked when Rachel said lets do it!

We met at the basketball court - honestly these courts feel so retro i have been inspired by them as soon as it was done up..
We played BBall for abit, played at the skatepark, even though this crew doesnt skate, they had fun - im sure a family who skate on the reg would enjoy this even more, but it was a cool spot for some photos and to hang as a fam, after this we went to a coffee shop! These guys love their coffee, we got a coffee and babychinos, then some fun photos while walking to the next spot which is the servo to get icecreams - my shout. The kids loved it.
Followed by a few photos with icecreams hanging out and then went home.
Could even complete this with a visit to the beach afterwards.

I would love to do more adventure shoots like this.

I call them storytelling sessions
They take a little longer, we do more, but its soo worth it.

Ah after this session i got a little video recording of their eldest saying how much he enjoyed his afternoon with me taking pictures.

One of my favorite thing about this job is hearing how much kids enjoyed the shoot, and how much they liked me.
I love connecting with kids and making them comfortable enough to be themselves!

This was a mini session but full of so many happy smiley and loving moments its too lovely not to share.

I think its important to
1.
Make Mums feel beautiful, empowered and place them in the pictures with their kids in a flattering way, but without missing any moments - some moments arnt flattering - i include them anyway as long as theres pure love and connection - because one day that photo will belong to her kids, and her kids will cherish that connection and love captured so often dads forget to or simplt dont capture.
2.
Make the kids have fun, making memories which are fondly remembered when taking pictures.
Getting photos while it may feel stressful getting ready and all of that, once you are there it should be just a fun distraction, screen free time in nature or doing something you love to do together so you can have a beautiful and fun memory together forever.

No point having photos done if you look back on them connecting them to a sad or angry memory
3.
If Dads come along, i like to make sure they have some fun, Dads usually hate photos, but they do them for their partner and kids.
Often. Dads leave a session with me surprised at how easy it was, and rather enjoy just playing with the kids and being a little extra loving - i have some tricks up my sleeve.
I cant get through to everyone but id say at least 95% of the time we have fun!. I can even bring a beer if that helps

Ultimately i just want our session to be fun.
A mini session is shorter and a little more rushed but for some that is perfect. A full session goes for longer but allows for time to slow abit and us to really explore or adventure... it allows everyone to warm up fully and create true meaningful memories.

Does your kid love you more then anything?
And you are their whole world?
As A Mother or Father we generally are their everything..

Does your partner forget to take photos of you candidly playing with your kiddos? Or if its remembered perhaps its not a very good shot. But you appreciate it anyway, cause you never wanna forget the way they looked at you or played with you.

You dont want to be old and look back on photos and only look at posed photos, photos your not in with them, or a selfie with a fqce altering filter.

Mini sessions, are are a great way for Mums to get some candid playful, real, organic and loving photos without the big cost, without having to drag the partner out, without having to make sure everything is perfect to get the value from a big full family session.

Im offering my mini sessions during winter months, for a steal of a price... 30 minute session of natural fun loving play.
$250 for 10 images
Or pay $350 for a full gallery of 50+

A cute location that i can select for you based off your preference or i can even pop by your home to capture some where you are most safe and cozy Local locations, very limited dates.

Think :
Photos of you baking in the kitchen with your little ones
Photos playing at the beach in cozy kits
Photos flying a kite together, or playing soccer at the park
Photos at the skate park, stylish and cool just like you
Photos at the gardens having a cute picnic
Photos playing dressups and cuddling on the couch
Photos of you and your little one, simple backdrop, simple poses
Photos playing in the back yard, doing what you usually do
Or perhaps a little bush adventure like this one, with a fav toy and lots of crazy cuddles and laughs.

We can do so much in 30 minutes, sometimes thats all kids can tolerate anyway - its no big adventure like a full session can be, but for some its perfect, for winter, i think its great :)
