Think handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, homewares, artisan products, coastal-inspired pieces, decorative objects and other creative work that feels at home within the Scapes of Art gallery experience.

This is about giving selected makers an ongoing place to be discovered within a curated gallery environment in the heart of The Entrance.

From the back roller door looking all the way through to the front windows, our new gallery space may look pretty ordinary at the moment โ€” bare floors, empty walls and plenty still to do.

But this is where the next chapter of ๐’๐œ๐š๐ฉ๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐€๐ซ๐ญ is going to take shape.

Soon, this long empty space will be filled with original art, photography, local makers, beautiful objects, stories, colour and all the little details that will make the new gallery feel like us.

Thereโ€™s a lot of work between here and opening dayโ€ฆ but we can already see it.

Today, Felicity Batesโ€™ original painting โ€œ๐‹๐จ๐ง๐  ๐‰๐ž๐ญ๐ญ๐ฒโ€ found a new home โ€” but the story behind the purchase makes this one particularly special.

A lovely local couple chose the painting as a ๐ฐ๐ž๐๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ซ ๐๐š๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ž๐ซ, who has moved away from the Central Coast to Dubbo. Rather than simply giving her something beautiful, they wanted to give her ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐ž. โค๏ธ

That is the wonderful thing about art connected to a place. A familiar jetty, a stretch of water, the colours of a Central Coast sunset โ€” they can hold memories of where we have lived, the people we love and the places that have helped shape us.

Soon, "Long Jetty" will be hanging in a home in Dubbo, carrying a little piece of the Central Coast with it.
