Members of the Whyalla Camera Club recently participated in a workshop run by a well known photographer, who guided us in the art of Intentional Camera movement and panning techniques.
This is certainly a fun way to create some interesting and artistic photos and the workshop was well attended by our members and we were joined by Copper Coast Camera Club members.
We hope that you find the photos below, interesting. :)

Whyalla Camera Club members are very happy to be able to display their photos, thanks to the Whyalla Art Group in the Whyalla Art Gallery on Darling Terrace.
This display is the work of local photographer Annette Kirby, who has been excited to participate in workshops with aerial photographers in aircraft with the doors off over Shark Bay in Western Australia and also Lake Eyre Kati Thanda and also a very memorable trip to Africa to photograph the amazing wildlife. Annette also enjoys other genres of photography including birds and Intentional Camera movement.
If you would like to see Annette's photos, please call in to the Whyalla Art Gallery between 11am and 3pm Tuesday to Friday, Saturday between 11am and 1pm and Sunday 12pm to 3pm.

It would be a great opportunity to check out the fantastic art works by the members of the Whyalla Art Group too!

Whyalla Camera Club members met with other Eyre Peninsula Camera clubs at Wudinna last weekend where photos entered into the Eyre Peninsula Clubs competition were viewed and presentations were made to the winners.
It was a great weekend of photography and socialising and a chance to catch up with other members of clubs in the region whom we have come to know quite well over the years.
Those members who entered from the Whyalla Camera Club did very well, winning many places and merits in the competition of 377 photos.
A special mention of Maggie Roberts-Duffy who was awarded 1st place in Nature for her photo of two pink cockatoos 'The Scrap' which was also awarded Champion Print for the competition! Congratulations Maggie!
The Whyalla Camera Club has 22 members who enjoy learning more about photography and taking photos of many genres in a sociable and friendly atmosphere.
Please contact us if you would like to know more or if you would like to join us :)

Whyalla did very well in the combined Eyre Peninsula camera clubs competition a couple of weeks ago. Maggie Roberts Duffy, Betty Nottle, and Annete Kirby look pretty happy with their prizes. Just a mention that the champion print trophy was kindly donated by Eyre Peninsula Trophy and Engraving. Thanks from our camera clubs.
