Welcome to 2024 at Whittlesea Photography Club.

This year we are running a special event open to anyone who is thinking of learning more about photography.
"Introduction to Photography"
Sat. 24th Feb. 2024. 1pm-4pm at the Whittlesea Fire Brigade 11 Laurel St Whittlesea 3757.
Afternoon Tea provided.
Free for members of the club
$50 for non members - but if you decide to join then that will be deducted from the membership fee.
There will be a theory and a practical component to the day. Bring your camera along and we will help you to get more out of it. Or if you are yet to buy yourself a camera, or thinking of upgrading, then bring along your questions and we will try to answer them.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Head on down to the Whittlesea Agricultural Society admin building. Gate 1 McPhees Rd Whittlesea for the Christmas Tree Extravaganza. In from the 8th to 23rd of December. For a gold coin donation you can wander through a magical sparkly festive maze of Christmas trees and displays. There are photo opportunities galore.
Vote for your favorite- hopefully it will be our Photography themed tree full of cheeky elves. Number 25.

Don't forget folks - entries for the 2023 Whittlesea Agricultural Show Photography Section close this coming Saturday the 28th of October. All prints need to be dropped at the Admin building by 4PM. The Whittlesea Photography Club is proud to support and run this section of the show. We have classes for Juniors, Novice and Open photographers. Go to www.showdayonline.com to enter. Even if you don't plan on entering please drop by and say hello. We would love to show you around the display.

Lightroom Classic* is an incredibly powerful desktop editing and cataloging platform but with great power comes great responsibility… to keep organised and make your edits count. Most problems that I see in peoples editing workflow is a lack of understanding of how to set Lightroom up for success....

A great morning was had by all at our workshop with Louise Sedgman Equine Photography. With amazing models (human and equine) in beautiful locations fun was had by all. Thanks to the girls at Free Reign Equestrian Courtney with Harry and Mel with Goldie as well as Steph with Spirit. Can’t forget to mention the super Shetland Hasani. The horses behaved beautifully and are a great testament to the work you do. Cannot speak highly enough of Louise as an educator and supporter of Camera Clubs.
