If you’ve been thinking about booking a session with me, this is your reminder not to leave it until the last minute.

I’ll be taking a short break from late October / early November, which means my books will be closing for a little while.

During this time, I’ll only be offering the occasional family session when I’m able, and newborn sessions will be unavailable until I return.

If you’ve been hoping to book a newborn, maternity or family session before then, I’d love to capture those memories for you before my books close.

Everyone waits for the “right time.”

But if you saw my last post, you’ll know I only have until mid October to photograph families, and once those spots are gone, they’re gone.

Life will always be busy. The kids will keep growing. There will always be another reason to put it off.

I’ll be taking some time off from mid October until late December/early January.

During this time, I’ll have very limited availability for the occasional family session, and newborn sessions will not be available at all.

How I hope you feel being photographed by me 🤎

I hope it feels a bit like taking a breather, Mum.

Like no one’s expecting you to keep everyone perfectly in line or make sure every smile is “just right.”

Like you don’t have to carry the invisible weight of making the whole session go perfectly.

I know getting everyone dressed, packed, fed and out the door can feel like half the battle. So when you arrive, I hope you can let all of that go.

I hope, at some point, you forget I’m even there.

Because we’re not trying to create a picture-perfect version of your family.

We’re simply making space to notice what’s already there.

The way your little one reaches for your hand.
The way they bury their face into your shoulder.
The way they look at you when they think no one is watching.

Those are the moments you’ll want to remember.

A little throwback to this gorgeous girl’s first birthday that I had the pleasure of documenting. 🩷

I don’t usually photograph birthday parties, but this one was absolutely beautiful and so much fun to be part of.

As parents, we put so much effort into creating these special celebrations, but it’s easy to forget to capture the moments that matter most the cuddles, the laughter, the excitement, and all the little details you’ll want to remember years from now.

If you’ve got a birthday celebration coming up, don’t forget to take photos… or better yet, let someone else do it so you can be fully present. I’d love to help capture your little one’s special day. 🤍

I’ve got a theory about why mums are always the ones behind the camera… and I reckon it’s going to make a few people uncomfortable.

It’s not because mums love taking photos.

It’s because if Mum doesn’t take them, a lot of the time they simply don’t happen.

So she spends years capturing the giggles, the cuddles, the messy faces, the milestones and all the little moments she’ll never get back…

But when she looks through her camera roll, she’s missing from most of it.

One day your babies won’t care if you hadn’t washed your hair, were carrying a few extra kilos, or were living in activewear. They’ll just want to see you. The mum who loved them, held them, comforted them and was there for it all.

So this is your reminder, stop waiting for the ‘perfect time.’ Get in the photos. Book the session. Capture the memories with your babies while they’re still little enough to fit in your arms.

Because your children deserve to have photos of their childhood and photos of you in it too 🤍

Honestly as soon as you have your due date.

It’s never too early, and here’s why:

When you book, I’ll pencil your session for about a week after your due date.Once your baby is here, we’ll lock in the exact time, ideally when they’re between 5-14 days old.
That’s the sweet spot for those gorgeous, sleepy, curled-up newborn poses everyone loves.

The truth is: those first days fly by in a blur. If you wait, you risk missing that tiny newborn window altogether.
