A little throwback to this gorgeous girl’s first birthday that I had the pleasure of documenting. 🩷

I don’t usually photograph birthday parties, but this one was absolutely beautiful and so much fun to be part of.

As parents, we put so much effort into creating these special celebrations, but it’s easy to forget to capture the moments that matter most the cuddles, the laughter, the excitement, and all the little details you’ll want to remember years from now.

I’ve got a theory about why mums are always the ones behind the camera… and I reckon it’s going to make a few people uncomfortable.

It’s not because mums love taking photos.

It’s because if Mum doesn’t take them, a lot of the time they simply don’t happen.

So she spends years capturing the giggles, the cuddles, the messy faces, the milestones and all the little moments she’ll never get back…

But when she looks through her camera roll, she’s missing from most of it.

One day your babies won’t care if you hadn’t washed your hair, were carrying a few extra kilos, or were living in activewear. They’ll just want to see you. The mum who loved them, held them, comforted them and was there for it all.

So this is your reminder, stop waiting for the ‘perfect time.’ Get in the photos. Book the session. Capture the memories with your babies while they’re still little enough to fit in your arms.

Because your children deserve to have photos of their childhood and photos of you in it too 🤍

Honestly as soon as you have your due date.

It’s never too early, and here’s why:

✨My calendar fills months in advance, and early booking guarantees your spot.

When you book, I’ll pencil your session for about a week after your due date.Once your baby is here, we’ll lock in the exact time, ideally when they’re between 5-14 days old.
That’s the sweet spot for those gorgeous, sleepy, curled-up newborn poses everyone loves.

Meanwhile my camera roll is full of your beautiful memories 🥹 from glowing pregnancy shoots, squishy newborn cuddles, cheeky toddler grins & of course my own little girl too.

One of my favourite things about this job is watching your babies grow up right in front of my camera. Honestly feels like one big extended family album at this point 🤎

Nobody talks about how guilty mums feel spending money on a photographer when they’ve been told a thousand times the iPhone is “just as good.”

So we put off the newborn photos, say “maybe later,” and before we know it our tiny little babies don’t fit in our arms the same anymore.

These photos aren’t a waste of money, they’re the moments you can never get back once they’ve grown.

A tiny tornado with the biggest heart, the loudest laugh and enough attitude to keep me on my toes every single day.
You feel everything so deeply, love so fiercely and light up every room you walk into

This isn’t just cute pics for the gram babe..it’s art, it’s feeling, it’s those tiny little moments you don’t even realise are everything until they’re gone 🥹

The way your baby grabs your face, the chaos, the laughs, the “I haven’t slept in 3 days but I’d do anything for you” kind of love… yeah, that’s the s**t I’m chasing.

Anyone can pose you… but not everyone can see you.

I’m here for the real, messy, emotional magic. The kind that makes you cry in 10 years time and go “f**k… that was us” 🤎

When you realise that how you felt during the shoot matters just as much as the photos… you start choosing your photographer differently.

Because if it feels rushed or awkward, it shows. But when you feel calm, comfortable, and actually seen that’s when the real moments come out.

That’s what I do. I create a space where you can just be with your babies no pressure, no forced posing so your photos feel emotional, natural, and completely you. 💛
