My friend Oday desperately needs help to help his family survive.

Peace is something I think about all the time. Especially when the western world likes to deliver peace with bombs and industrial slaughter. Give peace a chance we all seem to say, (or sing) with flowers in our hair. Give peace a chance we say tut-tutting whilst holding the gun. Why won't they just give peace a chance says those dropping the bombs and delivering non-lethal weapon parts.

Give peace a chance, we all say
but would we?
Give peace a chance that is?
If peace came without liberty,
without freedom, without equality,
and without liberation?
Would we? Give peace a chance?
If peace came without cessation of slaughter,
deprivation, torture and famine?
Would we give peace a chance?
And would we give peace a chance peacefully?

Children in Gaza make kites out of rubbish and fly them in the very defiant act of being a child.

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Monday that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had instructed the Israel Defense Forces to adopt a "zero-tolerance" policy toward kites and balloons launched from Gaza.

They don’t allow toys into Gaza (nor do they allow female hygiene products, anaesthesia, crutches and pesky little things like food and water re hit and miss as well. And now kites made out of rubbish bags flied by small children will give permission to bomb a little more.

My friend Oday is only 23 years old. All he wants is to be reunited with his family but until then he has to try to keep them alive and he is doing everything in his power to do that, but he needs help.
