“Our children had been trafficked and were working in circuses in India”, says Sano Paila Founder and CEO, Kanchan Jha. “They had horrific conditions, were fed the same food as animals and forced to work 24/7.

Providing support to deaf and Trafficked women, Sano Paila (a little step) have started a new initiative in Kathmandu that provides training to women to make jewellery. Each piece is carefully and independently crafted by the artist and provides them an income. The project is designed to be self sustainable. A new website for the project is currently under construction along with a catalogue (with some very new photos that we did together!) I will let you know when it goes live. There's some absolutely beautiful pieces in the collection.

I have been trying for years to get a photo of Geoff Hucker , founder of Beyond The Orphanage . This man does not stand still for long!
So- I love this photo of him! I'm trying to take a group photo of our visit to Sano Paila (a little step) - He's still not standing still!!! But I got him!!
