One day old 🤍

I spent a little time inside their hospital room. The room was quiet. And it felt both intimate and nostalgic.

The pink striped hospital blanket. The plastic bassinet. The sounds of the hospital around them. Nurses quietly coming and going.

There’s something about those first days that feels almost separate from the rest of your life.

Learning each other. Soaking up sleepy cuddles. Discovering an all-consuming love you never knew existed. Realising everything outside your four walls suddenly feels just a little less important than before.

They allow time for parents to run a little late, to relax and just soak it all in.

There’s something so incredibly special about being in the presence of brand new parents.

A little while ago, I hosted a giveaway… and these two won a maternity session with me 🤍

I’ll admit, giveaways can make me feel a little anxious and vulnerable. You put something out there, give a little piece of yourself away, and hope it lands with the right people

And this one really did 🤍

These two were so warm, grateful and completely connected to each other

I left their session thinking, yep… this is exactly why I do these things 💛
