As this year wraps up, I’m feeling incredibly grateful, a little emotional, and still mildly confused about how this all became my actual life.
This year has been HUGE. I’ve worked with the best clubs, families, people, and all-round legends, and been part of some seriously unforgettable events. Photographing the Bledisloe Cup still feels a bit unreal — watching my mighty All Blacks take on the awesome Wallabies from that close, camera in hand, was one of those “don’t act cool, don’t act cool” moments. Absolute pinch-me stuff.
It’s been a busy, full-calendar, running-on-coffee kind of year — the good kind of chaos. To the sports clubs who have already booked me again for next season: THANK YOU for trusting me enough to invite me back. That support means more than you probably realise (and also tells me I didn’t stuff it up, so that’s a win 😅).
Photography is a passion I found later in life, after navigating some pretty tough chapters, and there are still days where I stop and think, how did I get here? Every booking, message, recommendation, and “hey, are you free?” reminds me why I keep pushing — even on the long days when coffee is doing 90% of the work.
And to my kids — my biggest supporters, loudest cheer squad, occasional assistants, and the ones who believed in this dream before it even felt real. You’ve backed me every step of the way, helped me through the messy bits, and reminded me why I started. I truly couldn’t do this without you — and I definitely wouldn’t want to.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, trusted me, and grown with me this year. You’ve helped turn a late-in-life passion into something real, meaningful, and pretty bloody special.
Here’s to 2026 — more memories, more magic, more laughs… and yes, still way too many photos 📸🖤
