I can't believe we're not even halfway through June and I've sold out of my discounted Sessions!

I'm closing my books for now for July to October. The exception to these will be announced within 1-2 week of dates opening for:
- Snow Sessions in July/August
- Japanese Cherry Blossoms in October.

If you're interested in any of these Sessions, let me know and I'll add you to an email list to hear about the dates and times when they open up. I plan on setting these up shortly, so I don't have an official sign up form yet 😅

As an extremely low volume photographer (so I don't go mental with EVERYTHING I have to do!), I really do limit the number of people I photograph so I can give you my best quality work.

All the support you give me to keep doing this is amazing and I hope to get the chance to photograph more of you in the future.

These individual portraits of Odin and Tilly are amazing!

We took these portraits right at the end of the Session when Odin and Tilly were ready to just lay down and relax.

When it came down to editing, I'd done Odin's portrait as a sample, so I was asked if I could make sure Tilly's matched his. The cool thing is, I purposely took Tilly's portrait to match Odin with the aim to see them displayed side by side on their wall.

And that's exactly how they ended up!

Action photos are so much fun to capture.

When doing this type, the instructions I give us "try and hit me with the ball". It almost always results in photos like this where the dog is coming at me FULL PELT!

So if you think your dog has to sit still to have great photos taken, they absolutely do not!

I don't think Odin or Tilly felt like standing still for more than 2-3 seconds at a time until we got to he end when they were ready for a rest. And that's when we got the nice portraits that got printed to hang on the living room wall.

One of the cool things about living on the Yarra is seeing the different types of dog and mist roll over the river and through the valley.

Over the past year living here I've learnt so much about what causes fog to roll in, and my love of foggy mornings has grown so much. This particular foggy morning came about in January when we had a cold snap come in.

What do you think about fog and mist first thing in the morning?

Happy birthday to the boy behind

7 years young today and still going strong!

We've achieved so many things in the almost 6.5 years we've been together and I'm looking forward to more adventures with you.

He's barely gotten up today because it's so cold, and loving that I'm now getting the fire going for him.

I've been hearing, and having more conversations around general things impacting small businesses this year and so I thought I'd share them with you.

It's not crazy pretty photos, but it is a real update on why I've made the changes to my prices that I have - while protecting you (who'll hopefully hire me to take photos of you and your dogs 👀) as much as possible for the wild ride that running a business in Australia gives us.

There's an offer on the table right now that I want to make sure you actually know about before it closes.

Pay your Session Fee in June, and you lock in my current rate of $200 (it goes up to $300 on July 1).

You also get a bonus Photomount print included, and you don't have to have your session date sorted right now. You have until October 31 to have your Session. Whether you'd like to have a Session in the snow, in the tulips, amongst the Japanese Cherry Blossoms or in the bush - you can pick a vibe that suits you.

So if you've been thinking about it, this is the part where you stop thinking and just lock it in.

Four spots only. June 30 cut-off. That's genuinely it.

Plus a couple extras for anyone who knows what print products they'd like already - or for any current or prior clients who'd like to take advantage of a sneaky sale!

Sunday was not a great day for me.

It started well. Got all my meal prep on and pretty much done. Set up the fireplace to be able to spend the afternoon relaxing and working on my uni assignment.

And then... I chopped off a very small sliver of my finger chopping up wood for kindling...

Rick for the call to come home and take me to Urgent Care. My mum got the call to look up where the nearest one to me was. Everyone was very stressed because I couldn't communicate properly through the pain and shock.

Urgent Care patched me up and I had to keep pressure on the wound until it stopped bleeding (that took like 7 hours!), and I went to a local GP clinic the next day to get the dressing changed. That GP confirmed I'd had a tetanus shot on Sunday, that I hadn't impinged on my tendons or anything that would require a plastic surgeon and that yes - there's nothing to stick because I chopped it clean off.

I'm due back at the doctor's tomorrow, but as my body is fighting to stay healthy and regrow that small sliver of my fingertip, I've succumbed to a head cold.

So I'm now holed up on the couch downstairs, trying to get another fire going so I can hopefully feel better soon!

Worst case scenario tomorrow at the docs is that they put me on antibiotics of some kind to help my body recover.

In the mean time, all my clients have been absolutely amazing when I notified them that there may be delays in getting their orders to them. And I'm so absolutely thankful to have such kind and considerate clients!

You guys make this so worth it!
