I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with another photographer and create somewhere outside of my usual locations and style. I think it was something I really needed lately — to experiment, try different things and keep figuring out what I want my work to feel like.

It’s hard when your vision is ahead of where you feel like you are. There’s always more to learn, more you want to create, and it can be so easy to look at someone else’s work and wonder if you’ll ever get there.

I’ve been trying to remind myself lately that I don’t actually need to have it all figured out. I’m allowed to step outside my comfort zone. I’m allowed to experiment, create something and decide I’d do it differently next time — or change my mind about what I love.

That’s all part of developing as an artist. ✨
