Wisetri Photography Multi genre Photographer based in Northwest Tasmania. Freelance photographer, workshops and mentoring sessions. Hi, I’m Katri.

I’m a photographer passionate about storytelling and creating images that feel authentic, timeless, and full of connection. My journey began in my early adulthood, when travel and time spent in wild places inspired me to teach myself photography. What started with landscapes and nature gradually grew into portraiture and photojournalism, giving me a versatile style that blends people, place, and s

tory. In every session, I aim for a balance — a relaxed, candid atmosphere where genuine moments unfold, paired with gentle guidance to ensure polished results. For me, photography is more than just beautiful visuals; it’s about making the experience meaningful and memorable. Through my work, whether portraits, events, commercial projects, or private workshops, my goal is the same: to tell stories with authenticity, creativity, and care. Last Saturday afternoon, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Shandel and her beautiful family at Burnie Park. In the days before the session, Shandel reached out hoping to organise family photos in time for Christmas. Knowing the full gallery would be ready after the holidays, she was happy just to have a least one special photo of the grandkids as a Christmas gift, which made the session feel even more meaningful 💛

We met in the late afternoon and the vibe could not have been better. There were plenty of cuddles, tickle fights, a bit of silliness, and lots of laughter. The kids had an absolute blast, especially the younger ones flying through the air with the older kids.

I was able to send through a small selection of images the next day, with the rest of the gallery on the way, and I could not resist sharing a few of these moments here too.

A huge thank you to the Pile family for such a fun, relaxed session. It was a joy to capture!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Callum and Amy’s gorgeous Port Sorell wedding while battling the kind of wind that really should’ve been listed on the run sheet as an honorary guest.

The arbor decided to yeet itself to the ground not long before the ceremony, but with some quick teamwork (and what can only be described as bush-engineering brilliance) it was returned to its rightful upright position. Crisis averted.

Next challenge: hair. All of it. Everywhere. But honestly, I think we made it work, and I’ll forever stand by the fact that windswept hair can look incredibly cinematic… provided the wind is blowing in the correct direction. 😂

I genuinely believe the photos don’t even show just how windy it really was, but everyone made it look effortless.

The ceremony itself was beautifully simple and perfectly “them.” After capturing the family and friends, we took the wedding party for a quick wander down the beach before delivering the bride and groom back to the reception for their grand entrance, looking only slightly windswept and extremely adorable.

Callum and Amy, I hope you love these photos as much as I loved capturing them! ❤️📸 And a big thank you to my partner Heath for his help on the day — couldn’t have done it without him.

Had the pleasure recently of working with Flitch — a fantastic 3-piece Celtic ensemble who play traditional Irish jigs and reels. 🎻☘️

They approached me looking for something a little different — long exposure photography that would capture the colour, movement, and energy of their music. While I’ve done plenty of long exposure work with landscapes, this was my first time blending that style into portraiture.

It was such a fun and creative process, and I’m really excited with how the images turned out. Huge thanks to Flitch for trusting me with their vision. Can’t wait to explore more of this style in future shoots!

Check out a few shots from the session below!

I had an absolute blast (and a bit of a workout 😅) photographing Stacey, Harper and Malakye recently!

I'm sure most parents will agree when I say young kids aren’t exactly pros at following directions, we figured the best approach was to just roll with it. We embraced the chaos, let them lead the way, and captured so many sweet, candid moments full of personality and joy.

It was fun, messy, unpredictable, and totally real—and that’s what I love most about this kind of shoot. Sometimes the magic happens in the in-between moments, and this session had plenty of those ✨📷

Here's some of my favourites from the afternoon 😊

These boulders are not the easiest subject to shoot, especially with the incoming tide. You really have to pay attention to that. Lets just say my feet definitely got wet ~
