I sat on the roof of our house (while my son slept in the pram below me) to get these photos of these Willie Wagtail parents feeding their young. They are such fast hunters, coming back about every 20-30 seconds with a new insect. So amazing to watch up close

Yeh Nah, certainly sums up the Festivus season. Still, we were grateful we were able to spend time with family over the break with no ‘airing of grievances’. Happy Festivus and New Year to everyone.

Flying in fast at 11 months old, I bring you this little guy! Here he comes to save the day … hang on that’s Mighty Mouse. Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It’s Superbaby! Yes, It’s Superbaby!

In a small country town called Triangle Flat in central west NSW, Australia, a baby boy was born. with stacks of energy and the ability to function with very little sleep, he was soon crawling faster than a speeding liquorice bullet. more powerful than a slowcomotive. able to leap small quiltings in a single bound. thus, a new legend was born.

How did I do it?
1. With a tripod, motion sensor and a step ladder, I ended up taking over 340 photos (see 2nd photo for behind the scenes shots).
2. Culled these photos down to about 10 photos and used these to Photoshop the baby model into the flying position.
3. Made the title and deep etched in Photoshop.
4. Put together the spread (1st image) in InDesign.

Loxodonta Africana aka the African Elephant 🐘

The herd of African Elephants is always lead by the oldest female (the matriarch). The matriarch on the left (first photo) sensed danger as we drove in front of them. Once the wind changed and she caught our scent, they started to charge towards us, which is when the driver took off.
Most people know that their tusks cause elephants danger to poachers. Their tusks are actually enlarged incisor teeth. Tusks are used to help with feeding - prising bark off trees or digging up roots - or as a defence when fighting. They are also in danger of being exploited for elephant rides and photo opportunities in places that claim they have been rescued.
