What an incredible weekend it was for the QCWA Northern Conference.
Over the past few days, Country Women from across North Queensland—and even from much further afield—came together to celebrate friendship, community and the incredible spirit that makes the QCWA so special.
There was plenty of laughter that echoed through the halls, inspiring and deeply moving talks from wonderful guest speakers, countless cups of tea, delicious food (and yes... the famous pumpkin scones certainly lived up to their reputation! 🧈🎃), and many conversations that will be remembered for years to come.
New friendships were formed, old friendships were strengthened, ideas were shared, support was freely given, and, as with any gathering filled with genuine connection, there were also a few heartfelt tears.
The conference was a beautiful reminder that when women come together with kindness, compassion and a shared purpose, remarkable things happen. Everyone returned home carrying not only new ideas and inspiration, but also the knowledge that they are part of a community that is always ready to lend a hand, a listening ear, or simply a warm smile.
To everyone who helped make the QCWA Northern Conference such a memorable and successful event, I hope you all had a safe trip home, and here's to the friendships, memories and inspiration that will carry through until you all meet again.
