My Journey in Imaging

PHOTOGRAPHY BY WADE

My interest in photography had its roots back in the mid 1970s when I was just a young Australian teenager of 13 years. During this time my imaging equipment consisted of a plastic 126 film AMCAL instamatic camera and flashcubes for lighting. My life at this young stage was centred around the magnificent Otway Ranges and Great Ocean Road of South Western

Victoria and, combined with a expanding love of the outdoors which my family (especially my father) encouraged at every moment of my rural upbringing, the stage was set for an ongoing lifetime of recording the world about me via the medium of photography. With the onset of employment at 17 yrs came the financial means to progress my imaging hardware so I entered the world of 35mm film SLRs with a Pentax ME camera and two Sigma lenses (50mm and a 200mm f/ls). This combination I put to good use on my first major adventure into the Tasmanian wilds, of ten days on the Overland Track in 1986. Lots of terrific images were taken with the telephoto lens breaking in half in my hands on the final day. After years of perfecting imaging and editing techniques and formalising my training with dual Diplomas of Business and Photography and Photo Imaging the time has come when I feel able to share my passion with people everywhere, hence the formation of Photography by Wade. By sharing my personal imaging world far and wide I aim to make my skills available to those in corporate and industrial market places and experience the enjoyment of passing on to like-minded people all the aspects that I have learnt in the format of workshops and eventually...........offering photographic safaris which will not only encourage others to perfect their own style and technique but will enable them to enjoy the beauty of the environment that we share.
