This is the photo I can’t move past from this session.
I sat wondering why I love this particular photo so much.

Because I can see myself in this photo. It feels familiar, normal, nostalgic, it feels love and it feels so very long ago yet also something I can’t forget. The everyday of parenthood.
The never ending normal beauty.

So if you book me to document your babies first birthday… you may end up with a few of these random beauties too… and let me tell you… insiders tip here… these little bits of wonderful get more valuable with age.

I can get so caught up in overthinking it makes posting hard… I know … you wouldn’t believe it looking at the ridiculousness I seem to be able to post on my stories 😂.

So here I am posting what I meant to post last week before we headed away…and rather than deliberating any further I decided to make the sneak peak for this family all about this glorious woman… with the exception of the photo of the two most adventurous kids and when I thought we were almost going to walk the whole way to Magnetic Island.

Bec and I chatted on the phone before our session and even had two FaceTimes (thankfully I was out of my pjs unlike today!) we felt like old friends from the start ❤️

Our afternoon was spend with no fear of getting wet and dirty as well as being nipped by crab nippers which no longer remained on a crab but were every bit as well used by the tiniest family member.

We explored and played and talked and talked and talked and then shared a little more of our hearts again.

So many of my sessions this year have been families I have photographed before. I feel so honoured that I become not only "their family photographer" but I also feel so very much like part of their family. So thank you every single one of you who embraces me and welcomes me in as one of your own.

I am about to head off to a family session that the last time I photographed them they were in a different house and now they have an energetic fur baby!!! Can't wait!!!

Nearly all of my sessions recently have been families I have photographed before. There is something so beautifully familiar and exciting to return to these families.
I arrived to document the celebrations of two milestone birthdays for this special family. It is so interesting to see how dynamic’s change. This incredible Mum does the most beautiful job of recognising the shift in her role. She encourages and celebrates the independence of her growing children whilst still offering unwavering support and cheerleading of them. I noticed more “space” between them in where they naturally relaxed in their home yet all their relationships have an incredible closeness and understanding of each other. It’s a lovely friendship and respect for one another.

Thank you once again for making me feel such a part of your family and letting me ride shot gun and playing my music and for the selfies and for just having fun with me x

Oh Hi. Wondering what I have been doing…in amongst catching up on my beautiful clients galleries…making my favorite peanuts biscuits so I can eat 6 of them to one cup of tea …well I have also updated my website. I am not great with things hanging over my head…and I have been a little pre occupied whilst trying to fit the website remodelling into life. Massive shoutout to the brilliant support team at (who I must just about blow up their heads with how I describe (more so lack of description) my issues) who gave me confidence knowing they had my back for all the things I couldn’t figure out. And the graciousness which they answered every support request. They truly make you feel like you arent the pain that you probably are!

I wasn’t joking when I mentioned a couple of weeks ago this year has been filled with maternity and newborn sessions❤️ I have been there to photograph each of these glorious girls as newborns. And for the last two, I also got to go to the hospital and photograph them meeting their new baby. I couldn't tell you who I enjoy more...these girls or their parents. I love them all. I will have to say when the eldest was talking to me and brushed my hair behind my ear and told me she loved me...I did think my heart may explode.

I’m incredibly indecisive today. I’m spending far too long trying to figure out which newborn photos to share of Sweet Baby Millie and her family. So for the sake of being kind to myself… I will do two posts and limit myself to that.

Grateful to be let onto peoples spaces… always so grateful. The third photo represents those blurry days of drinking your body weight in water while feeding… and having your other bigger yet so little loves close by… yet doing their own thing whether it be reading or randomly wrestling with an elephant. There is a beautiful calm in the chaos. And this moment doesn’t last too long…But these photos will remain to remind you.

My morning. Invited in to their home just days after leaving hospital. So grateful.
I had to compose myself when I took off baby girls socks… the tiny toes that made me think I may start to cry. People never stop impressing me and moving my heart.. old and the very very young … all in between.

Also grateful for baking shows that have kept my girl entertained and then inspired while I worked today. We now have a beautiful carrot cake to eat after dinner. The icing may be bright… or we may negotiate on it. Either way what a lovely day ❤️
