As we approached our second last hut along the Overland Track, we were wet, muddy and exhausted. With the shelter and warmth of the hut only a few hundred metres away, I heard this creek bubbling away to the right of the track. With grumbles and gripes along the lines of "oh ffs, come on Lyndon!" in my ears, I wandered off the beaten path to discover this magical scene.
Although I'm super happy with this photo, the end result is not why I began photography. Creating an image that evokes memories and takes me back in time is why. It's about the experience, and this is a perfect example of just that.
What got you into photography?
