So maybe I did get behind the camera, stole it from Ethan for a couple of shots.
These aren't great but saw one of the pro-shooters doing these so went and had a chat to him. This takes a bit of work to get right including the timing as its on the main straight where the cars a doing a couple of clicks, add in all the fencing, the walkway, Oh and ignorant people lol. Also, quality of the gear he was using compared to mine may be a little different. still kind of happy with the couple I did get. though a couple did have more blur which is the aim of the game.

Well its been awhile! So I thought it was time to get off my backside and join the team from Garricks Camera House Townsville Canon Australia and Joel from Sky-Watcher Australia. I borrowed a camera from Canon and had a go at some astrophotography. Not great, lots of light pollution but will do for a first attempt and the first time i have had a camera in my hand for almost 12 months.

Went to the dam on a relative’s property last night with the aim of trying for a milky way shot but to much light and angle wasn’t right so had a play with one of the torches we sell instead.
