There are so many reasons why I love sport and especially team sport. Here are a couple -

Father and Son (Shawn Frerichs and Frerichs) in the moment sharing the crease and a game they both love.

And the other photos below a team full of young fellas from Thuringowa and an older man, who has Parkinson’s who usually just sits in a chair and umpire’s for them, got to take the crease. The man was overwhelmed with emotion heading off the field and was sobbing. So one of the young fellas gave him a hug, a long hug. It was a very moving moment. I asked the young guy if he was related and he wasn’t but said “Wes” was a huge part of their club and has been for many years.
