Scott Weber Photography Geelong Based Landscape and Travel Photographer I would be met with amazing images of strangers who had experienced these places in their own unique way.

A Bit About Me:

Whilst I was traveling through North America in early 2019 I realised I kept going to social media and online blogs in search of my next adventure. Whether it was shopping in LA, Skiing in Whistler or hanging out of a helicopter above New York. Social media seemed to be the go-to for so many young people like myself in search of a unique travel experience. I could no longer trust

google searches for "Things to do in Vancouver" instead I was searching the city in my instagram feed and looking for images captured by professionals for views that would take my breath away.

Upon returning home to Australia I purchased my first DSLR, a Nikon D5600. From there I started shooting areas in my local town of Geelong. Whilst working full time as a Carpenter in a pretty strenuous job, photography has given me that break that I need to just switch off and relax. I enjoy the process just as much as the finished product and most importantly love the places and people that I would not have seen or met if I hadn't take up photography as a hobby.

Snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef and sharing the water with some incredible marine life is definitely something I won’t forget any time soon!

For once, I’m actually pretty happy with a GoPro shot. Usually they’re not my favourite, but this one definitely stood out. I couldn’t decide on the crop… so I went with all three.
What crop is your favourite? 👇

After nearly three months of trying, I finally managed to photograph a yellow-tailed black cockatoo in the wild!

After plenty of failed attempts searching for these incredible birds, I’d almost given up. But yesterday on my afternoon walk with the dogs, I suddenly heard their unmistakable screech coming from across the street.

I rushed home, grabbed my camera, and rushed back… and somehow they were still there! Causing absolute chaos, ripping things apart and leaving a huge mess in the street!
It was totally worth the wait to finally photograph these amazing birds up close! 📷

Every time I return to Robe I wonder how this obelisk is still standing. The cliffs keep slowly eroding beneath it. One day it might disappear completely, so for now I’m just appreciating it while it lasts!

Cloud cover meant I missed most of last nights eclipse, but I managed to capture this shot during a brief break in the clouds. Stoked I was able to capture it from the comfort of my backyard 🌓
Did you watch the eclipse?

Another shot from one of my favourite sunrises this year. Even though there hasn’t been a heap of travel in 2025, it was so nice to sneak away for a weekend down to Port Campbell and catch this one.

Milford Sound had been on my list for years, and it definitely lived up to the hype!
The boat cruise was by far the highlight as we slowly drifted through the fjords spotting all sorts of wildlife while feeling so tiny beneath the towering cliffs. Every few minutes another waterfall would appear out of nowhere, and I couldn’t stop reaching for my camera. It’s one of those places that makes you realise just how wild and untouched nature can still be 🤯🇳🇿

After witnessing one of the most insane viewpoints of my life, the morning somehow got even better. As we were heading back to the jeep after sunrise, we saw something absolutely incredible. In the soft golden light, Mount Semeru had erupted in the distance. I quickly grabbed my camera as fast as I could and framed this shot through a couple of trees. Creating one of my favourite moments from an already unforgettable morning.

Just a few weeks ago, Mount Semeru erupted again. This time causing devastating impacts for the local communities who live in its shadow. A powerful reminder of how breathtaking, yet unpredictable, these landscapes truly are! 🌋

Finally managed to sneak down the coast last weekend for the first time in what feels like forever. It was so good to have the camera back in my hands, shooting just for my own enjoyment after a pretty hectic few months 📸
It was also the first proper trip in my new car, and I’m stoked with how it all went. Everything ran smoothly, the setup worked a treat, and now I’m counting down the days until I can head off for a longer break over Christmas 🤙🏼
