Adam & Sophie 🤍

Some people have a way of making the world around them disappear, and that’s exactly what these two do whenever they’re together.
They laugh freely, love deeply and are completely at home in each other’s company. Photographing their relationship has always been such a joy, but being there to document their wedding day felt especially meaningful.
There were so many beautiful and emotional moments that I’ll carry with me for a long time.

I know how easy it is to say you will get newborn photos later. When the baby grows a little and you feel more like yourself. The truth is the “newborn” stage only lasts a few weeks. I often get told how much the baby has changed by the time I deliver the gallery.
These weeks are tiring I know but they are also very precious.
And if you want someone to capture this season for you — just as it is, without the pressure for everything to be perfect — I’d love to be that person.

Friendly reminder to show up as you are. In any stage of life and wearing clothes that feel like home.
You decide on what these photos will mean to you in 5,10 or 50 years from now.
My job isn’t to change you or manufacture something that isn’t there.
I just decide how best to capture you all.

This is what happens when photographers stop trying to manufacture closeness for the camera, the minute everyone stops being told to “get closer”, “look at the camera” or “smile”.
They start to relax.
Dad makes a stupid joke.
Mum rolls her eyes.
Someone leans into someone else without being asked.
The kids start mucking around.
And the teenagers?
They’re usually convinced having their photo taken is the most cringe thing that has ever happened to them. 😂
So I don’t make them perform for the camera.
I let them be teenagers.
And somewhere between the eye rolls, the laughs, the nudges and the “are we DONE yet?” moments… you get the real stuff.
The connection was already there.
I just photograph it.

It’s been a big few days in the house and studio. 4 sessions in 4 days and my baby turned 13 and is getting braces tomor...

It’s been a big few days in the house and studio. 4 sessions in 4 days and my baby turned 13 and is getting braces tomorrow
All my kids have now been teenagers and I’m not actually ok.
May need a day or two to get over it so
here are some baby toes to keep me happy 👣

There would never be enough cuddles with a baby this cute.
