These are the moments I look for when I capture your wedding.
Not just how the day looked but how it felt.
Working through this wedding and feeling all the feels again.

The Riverina is bathed in shades of gold.
I’ll honestly never tire of photographing these fields and watching the colours fade as the day ends.
Now is the time to visit if you wanted to experience it yourself.

I get asked all the time, “Have you ever met your match with a baby you just can’t settle?”

Truthfully, yes. 😂

But in that particular session, there were a few underlying issues that meant we needed to stop. Once bub was sorted a few days later, we rescheduled — and had the most beautiful session.

I may be jinxing myself here, but after having 7 of my own and photographing hundreds of newborns, I’m pretty comfortable around babies. I have a tried-and-true routine that I use for every newborn session, and most of the time, I can get even the most unsettled little baby relaxed enough for us to capture what we need.

And that means you get to relax too.

I often have mums message me afterwards saying they learnt so much just from watching how I settled their baby. Which I absolutely love.

So if you’re worried your baby won’t “behave” for their newborn photos — please don’t.

They don’t need to behave. They just need to be a baby. I’ll take care of the rest.

Sienna didn’t need much settling at all ❤️

It may just be a session for you.
A newborn. A wedding. A family. A goodbye. A place that means something.
I come home and upload hundreds of images and but that’s not the end. I carry a little piece of every story I’ve photographed inside me and I think of them more than you probably think.
I’ve been there at the beginning of life, in the middle of it, and sometimes at the very end. I’ve photographed people in their happiest moments, their hardest ones, and all the ordinary, beautiful moments in between.
And I think that’s why I love what I do so much.

Because I’m not just taking photographs. I’m holding onto little pieces of people’s stories — long after the session is over. And what might feel like just a few hours to you, often becomes something I remember for years.
I can still remember photographing these two on their wedding day, their babies and now their final piece.
Welcome baby Lane.

Luke asked me yesterday if photographing newborns was my favourite thing to capture. I immediately said yes — but the more I thought about it, the more I realised I’d not been totally honest.

My favourite thing to photograph is everything I do.

I’m not really looking for a particular type of session, a certain subject or even a “perfect” photo. I’m looking for an experience. A connection. A story being told.

Whether it’s a newborn, a wedding, a family, a business or a place — I want to capture a feeling, not just what it looks like.

And I think that my favourite type of session will be anything that does that.
I hope you can feel what it was like having Fred in my studio yesterday ❤️
