For as long as I can remember, my mother has always had a camera in her hand. She has always captured every milestone and as I grew up. She had her camera in hand for not only the milestone events for my siblings and I, but also the day to day happenings. To this day, my mum still enjoys scrapbooking memories and documenting her journey in life. This sentimental and emotive passion of photography
was passed down to me and it was over 10 years ago now that I purchased my first digital SLR camera. Ever since, I have been keen to learn more, experiment more and educate myself into the more technical side of photography. I have developed my own style and uncovered the raw, natural, candid lifestyle photography that I love. I have learnt to discover beauty in even the simplest forms, and now view my entire world and surrounds with a completely different eye. I drive home of an evening with jaw dropped almost drooling over the golden hour light streaming across the landscape. My daughters are even starting to point out pockets of gorgeous light to me. I love everything about natural light. I often see a funky coloured or textured wall and I instantly have a shoot in mind. I love colour just as much as I love light. I love people. Families. Candid moments. Special moments. Natural moments. Interactions. The outdoors. I love it all!!!........but I especially love light. My husband and I have been blessed with three beautiful daughters, who truly make our world. They bring so much happiness to our lives and we are so grateful for our connected and loving little family unit. As a mum, I now enjoy capturing all the special moments for my own children that my mum has previously captured for me, and all the every day moments in between. My daughters are my inspiration to better myself, both on a photography level, and also a personal level. As a parent we try to lead by example and teach our children strong values and life lessons, but I think we can equally learn a lot from our offspring along the way. Through my photography I love being able to capture life’s journey for my daughters from behind the lens, and create memories that our family can reflect on for many years to come. My amazing husband has given me so much confidence in myself and encouraged me to take my photography to the next level, by sharing this passion with others.
