I think this might be one of those “starting again” posts…

I created this page years ago, and then life took a different direction when I moved in 2020. I didn’t close it down, but I definitely stopped showing up here the way I used to

Lately, life is looking a little different. Slower, quieter, and with a bit more space to come back to the things I enjoy

So I’m picking this back up again. No big relaunch, no pressure. Just showing up, now from Dayboro, and seeing where it leads

Yes, I'm still here doing my thing... even though I haven't posted since Covid ramped up and everything was put on hold. Now I just have a lot of catching up to do... whoops!

Its a scary time for a lot of people, for many reasons...
I was about to enter into my busiest time with elopements and weddings, they have all now been postponed aside from my final elopement tomorrow. BUT, I am one of the lucky ones that has been able to continue working my day job and being classed as an 'essential worker'
It is definitely a time where we need to look after ourselves and each other. With the government restrictions and isolation, coupled with the massive loss of jobs and income for so many people, the rates of depression and anxiety are sure to rise.
No one knows when this will end and the uncertainty of our future and what is to come is overwhelming.
Look after each other! If you know someone who might be struggling, reach out! Message, call or Facetime them! Make sure they know they aren't alone 🖤 we are all in this together, even though we are apart

Heartsong Music 🖤 I had the honour of going out to Amanda’s remote property to photograph her for some promo images for an upcoming event.
Her story is an incredible one.
She is a two time war veteran and hearing how her deployment experiences have shaped her current way of life was absolutely mind blowing. I can’t even envision the things she has been witness to. She is now an advocate for peace, a crystal healer and a musician. She doesn’t own a tv or a radio. It’s just her, her dog Rhani and her guitar.
I feel incredibly privileged that she was so open and candid with me about her life, considering how sensitive in nature some of it was.
Thank you so much for having me Amanda Heartsong, hearing you sing is like magic and I am grateful for the opportunity to photograph you Xx

I love hearing people’s stories, their experiences and views on the world. What they have been through and the trials they have overcome. If you really listen, you will find a lot of people aren’t actually what they seem.
We are all guilty of making snap judgements and building people up to be something they are not.

Happy !

Today is a day to celebrate the women in our lives; their accomplishments, strength, drive and just all round badassery!

For me, body positivity, self empowerment and freedom of expression have always been ideals that I have stood steadfast for! Everybody deserves the opportunity to express the freedom of who they are, on their own terms!
Life is living art. Live it how you want. Express it how you want. Paint it how you want. Sculpt it how you want. Capture it how you want!
Be unapologetically you! because you are amazing, lady!
