From waiting for you, to finally holding you. 🤎

There is something incredibly special about photographing a family in those final weeks of anticipation—and then returning a short while later to find their baby finally here, tucked into their arms.

For this family, it was the season they went from two to three.

Their newborn session followed baby’s rhythm. Sleeping soundly, waking for feeds and changes, then settling back into their arms. Nothing rushed or forced. Just their new life together, as it was.

This is why so many families choose my Bump to Bub Collection—two precious chapters thoughtfully planned together, so there’s one less thing to think about during an already full season.

It includes maternity + newborn sessions, full galleries, artwork and access to my client wardrobe, with over $670 in savings compared with booking separately.

I take care of the planning and little details, so you can slow down, be present and soak up the becoming.

And that last photograph?
Where their story as three was still just beginning.

A monthly glimpse into life behind the camera—family, work, milestones and everything in between.

Our first family trip with close friends—and the children’s first experience of snow, even if some of it was faux.

A little dream come true. Parenthood feels less lonely when you have friends walking through the same season with you.

Watching Lyra begin to read has made me so proud.

It is her milestone, but also a little pat on the back for Ricky and me—for all the patience, repetition and work behind it.

Somewhere along the way, she also started looking so grown up.

Now I’m busy planning her August birthday and wondering where another year went.

July behind the camera: lots of cozy studio baby sessions and sunset outdoor family sessions.

I’ve also been quietly working on spring minis and my new website.

A little glimpse of my second, exactly as he is right now.

Capturing my children each year has become one of our most meaningful family traditions.

Of course, July wasn’t only the highlights.

There were sick children, a cancer diagnosis in our family, and the physical and emotional exhaustion of parenting young children.

A month can hold both joy and heaviness. This one certainly did.

One day, this won’t feel ordinary anymore.

Right now, you’re simply living the newborn days.

The sleepy cuddles. The cute yawn and tiny fingers wrapped around yours. The way they fit so perfectly in your arms.

It doesn’t feel like history while you’re living it.

It just feels like another ordinary day.

Until one day, they’re no longer two weeks old.

That’s why I believe newborn photography is never just about remembering what your baby looked like. It’s about remembering how this season felt—the quiet, the wonder, and the love that changed your family forever.

Because no one ever regrets taking the photograph.

♡ Swipe to the end to read Mum’s beautiful reaction. They loved the photographs so much that they decided to upgrade their gallery and take home even more memories from this fleeting chapter of their family’s story.

If you’re expecting a little one and looking for a Sydney newborn photographer, I’d love to help you preserve this beautiful season before it quietly slips by.

We always think we’ll have a little more time.

A little more time before they’re bigger.

Before spring quietly becomes Christmas.

Before another year rolls into 2027.

Before these tiny newborn days become the stories we tell.

Baby N came into my Eastwood studio when he was only weeks old. Curled up, sleepy, and completely unaware of just how quickly this season will pass.

The truth is, these early weeks rarely feel fleeting while you’re living them. The days can feel long, the nights even longer. And then one day, they’re smiling back at you. Crawling. Walking. Starting school.

Time has a quiet way of moving on.

If you’re expecting a little one this spring or summer, now is the perfect time to reach out. My Spring and Summer calendar is officially open, and I’d love to help you preserve this beautiful season before it becomes one of those memories you wish you could hold just a little longer.

Because years from now, these photographs won’t simply remind you of what your baby looked like.

They’ll remind you of how it felt to hold them this small.

♡ Spring & Summer bookings are now open. I’d be honoured to tell your family’s story.

Some sessions stay with me long after I put the camera down.

It was a privilege to return for the newborn chapter of this family’s Bump to Bub story and to be welcomed into a home that held so much meaning long before baby Q arrived.

We spent a calm few hours together, photographing her at only a few weeks old—sleeping peacefully through most of the session and waking only for a couple of feeds and changes. There was no rush. We simply followed her rhythm and allowed the morning to unfold around her.

Her beautiful nursery and the delicate details of these early days were part of the story, but what mattered most was the connection: the way she was held, the tenderness between her parents and the feeling of finally being together in this moment.

When her mum saw the photographs, she told me how much they meant to her. It was a reminder that these images are never only about how a season looked. Sometimes, they hold the weight of everything a family has carried to reach it.

These are only a few glimpses from a gallery that was incredibly difficult to narrow down. I’m deeply grateful to have been trusted with this chapter.

A calm, baby-led in-home newborn session in Sydney, created honestly, gently and with connection at its heart.

Take me back to the newborn bubble.

My little one, photographed at 14 days old, now he is 13 months old, and somehow this first year has gone by even faster than it did with my first.

Back then, life felt slower. He’d nap peacefully in the carrier while I moved around the house, folding laundry, editing galleries, or simply soaking up the quiet. We’d spend afternoons together in the bedroom, him watching me from his bouncer while the last of the afternoon sun spilled through the windows.

Nothing extraordinary.

Just ordinary moments that now feel incredibly precious.

Looking at these photographs reminds me not only how small he was, but what life felt like then. The sleepy cuddles. The stillness. The way his whole little body fit perfectly in my arms.

The newborn bubble doesn’t last forever.

But I’m so grateful to have these photographs to take me back there, even for a moment.

Bring your furry little one to the photoshoot. 🐾

Honestly, it’s always a good idea.

I may be slightly biased though.

Growing up, my parents never let me have a dog. So after school, I’d often find myself parked outside my neighbour’s front yard—a lovely lady who had one dog and what felt like a hundred cats—just so I could spend time patting them.

Even our family restaurant choices revolved around animals. Whenever my parents asked where I’d like to eat on the weekend, I’d choose the seafood restaurant next to the pet shop. Not because of the food, but because I could sneak next door while waiting and make friends with every puppy, kitten, rabbit, and guinea pig in sight. 😆

So when families ask if they can bring their dog to their maternity session, the answer is almost always an enthusiastic yes.

Because for many families, they’re not “just a pet.” They’re the first baby. The loyal sidekick. The one who’s been there before the nursery was painted, before the tiny clothes were folded, before life was about to change in the most beautiful way.

And years from now, I know these photographs won’t just remind you of your pregnancy. They’ll remind you of this whole chapter of your family’s story—including the four-legged family member who was there for it all.

Mother’s Day may have come and gone, but here—in this little corner of the internet and in my small business—we celebrate mothers every day.

Because motherhood is the thread that binds so many of us together.

So say it out loud with me:

I am an amazing mother.
I am a wonderful mother.

If you think about your children before yourself.
If you lie awake at night researching toddler meals, comparing prams, shopping for winter clothes, mentally keeping track of appointments, lunchboxes, daycare forms, and family logistics.

If your “mum uniform” has become activewear and a messy bun because it’s simply the fastest way to get ready before someone calls out “mamaaaaa”.

If you can’t remember the last time you went to the bathroom alone, drank your coffee hot, or sat down without someone climbing on top of you.

If your mind is constantly carrying invisible tabs no one else sees.
If you’ve ever questioned whether you’re doing enough while loving your children with every fibre of your being.

You are a wonderful mother.

Not because you do it perfectly.
But because you show up, over and over again, with love.

And that kind of love changes generations.

To the mothers in the thick of it right now—

The ones holding tiny hands, wiping faces, reheating the same cup of coffee three times, carrying the mental load no one sees, and still showing up every single day with love.

This season may feel ordinary while you’re in it.
But one day, these will be the moments your children remember most.

The way you comforted them.
The way they reached for you without hesitation.
The way home always felt a little more like home because you were there.

These photographs from my Mother’s Day mini sessions are a gentle celebration of that kind of love.

Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
