Hariyali Teej is a joyous Hindu festival that marks the arrival of the monsoon season and celebrates the eternal union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The festival is celebrated during the auspicious Hindu month of Sawan and derives its name from the word 'hariyali', which means 'green-ness', as the lush green landscape is rejuvenated with the rains. It is primarily observed by married and unmarried women in northern and western India, who

Women sing traditional folklore and enjoy swings, decorated and tied to the large trees, filling the air with joy.
