🌟 Sathyan and Gaya’s Wedding Dinner 🌟

What a beautiful night it was celebrating Sathyan and Gaya's marriage at their family house here in Sydney! Although the main wedding and reception were held in Malaysia, this dinner party brought together their Sydney family and friends for a special celebration. 🎉✨

Sathyan and Gaya have always been like family to me, and it was wonderful to capture their joyous moments. The night was filled with delicious food, endless drinks, and nail-biting excitement as we watched Australia play against France in the 2023 Women’s FIFA World Cup quarter-finals. 🥂⚽

🌺 Tulassini’s Nallungu Ceremony 🌺

I recently had the pleasure of capturing Tulassini's beautiful Nallungu ceremony, a significant tradition filled with meaningful rituals. Tulassini, an acquaintance of my wife, reached out to me to document this special event, and it was an incredible experience. 📸✨

The Nallungu ceremony is rich in cultural significance and involves several important steps:

Planting of the Panthakaal: Symbolizes the beginning of the wedding festivities and seeking blessings for a prosperous union.
Pouring Water on the Bride: A purifying ritual to cleanse and bless the bride.
Applying Santhanam (Sandalwood Paste): Applied on the bride’s skin for its cooling properties and as a blessing for beauty and prosperity.
Showering with Blessings: Family and friends shower the bride with blessings, flowers, and love, wishing her a happy and prosperous married life.
Capturing these moments was truly a wonderful experience, offering amazing exposure to such a rich and vibrant tradition. 🌟

🌺 Aishwarya and Vimal’s Thali Changing Ceremony 🌺

I had the honor of capturing Aishwarya and Vimal's beautiful Thali Changing ceremony, often referred to as "Thali Pirichu Kattal" in Tamil. This ceremony is where married women (sumangalis) replace the yellow string on their Thali (mangalyam) with a golden chain whilst hoping for an abundance of happiness. 📸✨

Aishwarya, an acquaintance of my wife, discovered my photography venture through our Instagram content and graciously gave me this wonderful opportunity to document this amazing tradition. The experience was not only enriching but also led to another wonderful shoot for her family later on. 🌟 Stay tuned!
