It's been a hot minute! (About 4 years!). I was fortunate to be a part of a macro fungi photography workshop last weekend, hosted by none other than the legend who was an amazing teacher. Not only did he give me the know how to photograph this incredible specimen, but he also gave me enough of a nudge to finally post a photo for the first time in years! I was equally coerced by fellow workshop participant and now friend . This was taken in Bodalla state forest on the NSW south coast. Hopefully it's the first of many more fungi photos!

It's been a bit nippy lately which reminded me of this moment I got to experience at Echo point back in August 2019. Pretty amazing to witness. 30 minutes after this scene there was clear blue sky .

To think that I was disappointed at the start of this morning because the sun was out which more than likely meant waterfall shots were going to be a bust. Oh how I was wrong. I couldn't have timed it any better, having the early morning sun align with this magical waterfall made for quite a unique shot. Watching the warm sun rays hit the mist from the waterfall was a moment to remember.

I've been to a lot of national parks and done a lot of hiking over the years but this place would be close to being my favourite. Finally got to see it over the weekend and words cannot express the beauty it holds. Absolutely incredible.

Captured this over the weekend. It's easy to lose the scale of these giants but they were the biggest waves I've witnessed in person (20ft approx). It was incredible to watch their raw power as they crashed into the shore and fought against an equally strong and angry wall of wind. The battle of the elements were on show whilst and I sheltered under a small cliff over hang and gingerly captured the exhibition!

It was time to tone things down. I've decided to start posting some more simplistic shots from my back catalogue. Sometimes it can be something as little as the lines in the sand that really draw the eyes in. Hope everyone else enjoys it like I do.

I had this image in my mind for a while. Because its east facing, I needed a decent reverse sunset to get colour in the sky above the bridge. I had shot it previously but didn't get the colour I wanted. One recent Saturday afternoon, the sky was shaping up nicely so I headed out and was lucky enough to get a beautiful reverse sunset. It was good timing as the bridge that I was shooting from has now been removed to allow for new road infrastructure.

This is the first time I'd been to the bottom of this amazing giant. Boy, it did not disappoint. Hearing it roar and feeling its power through the wind created by the falling water... truly amazing!
