Another great event with Roadster Bros car club for the Christmas run on Sunday 14/12/2025.
They started at Dural, and I met them at the Cowan rest stop at the entrance to Old Pacific Highway. It was a great turnout with a huge group of cars showing up. There were some really nice cars that came along. I left ahead of the group so I could stop along the route and get some photos of them coming past. Unfortunately, some of the group had a GPS mishap and didn't come past me on the listed route, so I missed getting photos of them. We all got to the last location in the end though and enjoyed a coffee and lunch at Usui Cafe at The Entrance. I got a few extra photos there as some cars had great placement at the car park. I shot some film too, but I have to get that developed. I'll post those later when I have them back from the film lab.

Photos from last weekend for the Roadster Bros memorial run for Cameron Petty 16/11/2025.

A group of us got together to honour and remember a great bloke and club member Cameron Petty. The group started out in Windsor, then drove along Putty Rd to end up at Stewart McTaggart Park in Broke which is where I met them and got some quick panning shots as they arrived. We had a chat there for a bit and then set off to another location to take some quick photos at a nice spot along Paynes Crossing Rd.

After the photos, we headed for lunch at Khartoum Hotel (pub). Had a good feed and a good chat and then the group head off to Newcastle for the last leg of the drive which I wasn't able to attend due to prior commitments.

I hope you all enjoy the pics!

Photos from MOvember MOtorcycle Ride 2025!
What a great way to spend a Sunday. A great event run for a great cause and set up by the great bloke Dale McLean.
Meet up was 10am at Croudace Bay car park for a walk around and chat. It was great to see some great bikes show up, and many with the iconic MO sticker on them.

I left a bit a head of them to set up down the road and get a photo of them coming down a hill in a group. Got lucky (for me) when they stopped at a traffic light, so I got a group shot of them all stopped. I messed up on the lower speed panning shots unfortunately and didn't get the bikes as sharp as I wanted being a bit out of practice.

As they set off for the rest of the group ride, I reversed the run map and went around in the opposite direction in the hopes of finding another spot to catch them a second time. Luckily I found another spot and got some more shots in the bag.

A quick look at some masks I use, and why 🔍.
Masks can make such a huge difference to any photo edit.

If you want to get into car photography, but can't get access to cars to shoot, try shooting some model cars!
You can find some backgrounds from Google if need be, or take some photos of local spots.
Then you can watch some tutorials on YouTube. Look up "Photoshop composite" videos, or "Photo manipulation".
You'll learn some awesome editing techniques, as well as basics about lighting a car.

Don't give up, just find different ways to shoot cars 🙌

Would anyone like to see a basic breakdown of the steps I took to create this?

I used an old Burago ( owns now) model. 1/18 scale.
1961 Jaguar E-Type.
