๐ Save the Brumbies ๐
These photos were taken in April 2025 in the Snowy Mountains.
As we travelled through the mountains, one thing was impossible to ignore โ the numbers seemed so much lower than previous visits.
For the first time, I was able to get incredibly close to some of these beautiful wild horses. As I looked through my camera lens, I couldn't help but feel something had changed. Their curious eyes seemed to tell a story. A story of uncertainty, survival, and a fight to simply exist.
Maybe it's just me, but when I look at these photos, I see more than horses.
I see families.
I see mothers protecting their foals.
I see generations of wild horses that have called these mountains home for decades.
And I see animals that deserve a voice.
Standing there, camera in hand, I felt as though their eyes were saying:
"Please help us."
Some people will see a horse.
I see a living part of Australia's High Country.
I see beauty, strength, freedom, and a connection to the land that cannot be replaced.
My hope is that when we return to the Snowy Mountains, these horses will still be thereโrunning through the valleys, grazing on the plains, and raising the next generation of brumbies.
Let's protect them before it's too late.
