When they tell you ”Say cheese!” what they’re really telling you is prepare to have a beautiful moment captured in a still.

When they tell you ”Say cheese!” what they’re really telling you is years from now, all that will be left of you is that glossy little rectangle piece of paper.

When they tell you ”Say cheese!” what they’re really telling you is that there is a time coming when someone that loved you very, very much is going to be really, really happy you got in front of the camera that day.

These three adults here? My mother, father, and grandmother? All three left this earth many years ago to keep an eye on me from Heaven.

And while it will forever break my heart that they said goodbye to this world long before I was ready for them to,
