Every wedding is an adventure usually dictated by circumstance. In this case Kate had immigrated form the UK and fallen in love with Chris, a down to earth rugged Aussie bloke. It was a second marriage for them both so their half a footy team of five sons accompanied us on a limo ride from the Shangri-La Hotel in the rocks to iconic Sydney locations by the bridge and the opera house. Followed by a ceremony and party at 12 Micron in Barangaroo at sunset. The way he holds her face when he kisses her by the Opera House makes me quiver. True Romance. Photography by Lavana Dancer

I fell in love with this couple and their romance. They met in a bar in the inner west of Sydney. The hippest parts. Love at first sight. He’s a high school teacher who has the charisma and style of a rockstar and she is the goddess who practices helping youth develop better mental health. And their wedding was officiated by one of my favourite celebrants ever Repeat after me - Marriage Celebrant. When you have a deep and true love with two deep beautiful souls officiated by another deep and beautiful soul with the heartiest laugh on the planet, you’re always going to have a good time as the photographer. These guys had Covid kill their original dream of getting married din an inner city bar. They had a gorgeous Airbnb booked for them in Kangaroo Valley and Dinner at Bendooley estate by their close and loving family. They decided to officiate their love things on the way, with a ceremony at a park in The Shire by the water on a cold wintery day. Photography by Lavana Dancer
