কিছু বিষয় বিতর্কের ঊর্ধ্বে থাকুক
বাংলা নববর্ষ উৎযাপন বা পহেলা বৈশাখ বাঙ্গালির উৎসব, বাঙ্গালির সংস্কৃতি। বাঙ্গালি শব্দটা কোন ধর্ম থেকে আসেনি। বরং এই বাংলা নববর্ষ উৎযাপন বাংলাদেশের সংস্কৃতি সত্তাকে বিশ্ব দরবারে উঁচু করে উপস্থাপন করেছে। পহেলা বৈশাখের মঙ্গল শোভাযাত্রা UNESCO ইনটানজিবল কালচারাল হেরিটেজ (Intangible Cultural Heritage) সাইটে “মানবতার অধরা সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্যের প্রতিনিধি” তালিকায় বিশেষভাবে স্থান পেয়েছে।
