Photography by Brendan Yau A little place to share my photographic experiences ;)

Currently, I am the photographer for the Aviation Society at UNSW.

Welcome to my little public place where I hope to share and develop my interests in photography with you, capturing many small moments along the way. Photography really took-off for me in 2009 when I undertook a Photography and Digital Media course in High School, as part of my School Certificate (when it still existed). From there I became my school's first student photographer, where I was privi

leged with the opportunity to take photos of school events and functions for the school. "A gram of experience is worth a ton of theory". - R Gascoyne - Ceci, 3rd Marquess of Salsbury. For me, it is a very fitting quote, because it highlights the mass of experience I gained as a student photographer for my high school. The PDM course formed a strong foundation, but the "bricks & mortar" of experience, in my opinion, has been the most influential on my photography interests and style. My favourite things to photograph are landscapes and cityscapes, severe weather events, and nature in general.
