🌧️🏕️ Day 4 – The Wet & Wild Pack-Up! 💨💦🚙

What a way to finish our Lake Lyell camping adventure! 😂 Mother Nature saved the biggest challenge for the final night.🌃

🌧️ From 12am to 6am, we had heavy rain and strong winds hammering the campsite. Unfortunately, our canopy couldn’t survive the night and came crashing down! 😭💨 Everything underneath it — chairs, tables, gas stove, gas bottles, eskies, napkins, kitchen rolls… EVERYTHING — was absolutely soaked! 💦💦 Water dripping from everywhere!

And then came the tent disaster! 😂⛺ We forgot to close the second zip on one side of the tent, and by morning that section had turned into our very own indoor swimming pool! 🏊‍♂️🤣

Floating around in the water were our airbed, clothes rucksack, medicine box and shoes! 👟🎒💊💦 Definitely not the kind of lakeside experience we had planned! 😂

Then came the challenge of packing an entire campsite while everything was soaking wet 🌧️📦 Wet tents, wet gear, wet chairs… straight into the cars and deal with it when we get home! 😅

But spirits were still high! ❤️ After finally packing up, we headed to Lithgow and rewarded ourselves with a much-needed brekkie at ☕🍳🥓 — warm food never tasted so good!

Then it was time for the scenic journey home 🚙💨:
📍 Lake Lyell → Lithgow → Wisemans Ferry → Spencer → Wyoming 🏞️🛣️

4️⃣ days of freezing temperatures ❄️, magical sunrises 🌅, campfires 🔥, lakeside cooking 🍳, rain 🌧️, crazy winds 💨, plenty of laughs 😂 and some unforgettable camping lessons!🏕️

Would we do it again? ABSOLUTELY! 🏕️❤️

3️⃣ days in, and the adventure just keeps getting better! 💙 Waking up to misty sunrises 🌅, temperatures below zero 🥶, and a campsite slowly coming to life 🏕️ is something truly special.🔥

From breathtaking views 🌄 and icy mornings ❄️ to hot breakfasts by the lake 🍳🌭, it's all about slowing down, soaking in the moment, and making memories that will last forever. ✨🌊❤️

Day 2: 🥶 Not Antarctica, just our campsite this morning! ❄️🔥 Wear everything you own, kind of morning!🧣🧤

🌫️ Thick mist rolling over the lake 🌊
❄️ Frost covering the tents, cars and campsite 🚙🏕️
☕ Hot coffee by the water to start the day 💙
🌄 A breathtaking sunrise painting the sky 🎨✨
📸 Beautiful moments with friends and unforgettable views ❤️

⚡🏕️ Our campsite was powered by the all weekend! 🔌🚙🔋✨Adventure mode: ON! 🌊☀️😎

🌠 As night fell, we gathered around the campfire 🔥, sharing stories, keeping warm and enjoying the peaceful chilly winter night under the stars ✨🌙

These are the moments that make camping so special ❤️—cold hands 🥶, drinks 🍺🍾 🥃🥂 , crackling fire 🔥 and memories that last forever 📸✨

🏕️✨ Day 1: Reaching and setting up the camp! ⛺ 🌊

🚙📦🧳🪵🛏️🪑🍳 It was finally time to turn an empty lakeside spot into our little home for the next few days. 🏕️❤️

🪵 Firewood stacked and ready 🔥
⛺ Tent pitched by the lake 🌊
🪑 Camping chairs and tables set up 🍽️
🍳 Camp kitchen ready for breakfast 🥓🥚
☕ Hot coffee with million-dollar views 🌄
📚 Books packed for some quiet moments 📖
🌿 Fresh air, peace and nature all around 🌳✨

And then came the reward... 🌅😍

The sun slowly disappeared behind the hills 🌄, painting the sky with shades of orange 🧡, pink 💗 and blue 💙, while the lake reflected every colour like a mirror 🌊✨.
