I had been hoping to photograph graffiti artists in action ever since I came to Sydney and finally spotted one of them in the laneways of Melbourne. The highlight was when I spotted a group of school kids who were getting their morning dose of artistic inspiration.

Lighting events give an immense opportunity to experiment with photography. This image of a girl on an illuminated swing was shot at this year's Vivid Sydney. Once every year, at the beginning of winter, Sydney CBD gets lit up for a couple of weeks.
