What is Old Pine Theatre Company? Old Pine Theatre Company was founded by Tahlia Mathieson in April 2017. With the support of her fellow alumni and students from Excelsia College, Sydney, Old Pine will launch their first professional production in January 2018! Our productions are cast amongst the members of Old Pine Theatre Company, which you are more than welcome to join if you consider yourself
an Actor, Musician, Dancer, Writer, Designer or Director. External auditions are rare, and will only take place in the unlikely circumstance that a role is not suited to one of our members. This is our platform for original works, physical-devised theatre, fractured fairytales and musical theatre! As you can see, we live and breathe styles that allow us to tap into a spontaneous and fantastical world; a place I hope you will join us, whether on our stage or in our audience! What is Old Pine Creative Workshops? Old Pine Creative Workshops is our educational branch of the company. You have the opportunity to become an instructor of a specialised area in Sydney and surrounds. This will eventually include Theatre in Education (TIE), where our instructors may have the opportunity to tour a production or incursion-workshops to schools and/or community groups. More importantly, you have the opportunity to become a student of Old Pine Creative Workshops. This is available to anyone of any skill level over the age of five, including adult classes. We proudly offer fully qualified and experienced instructors in many specialist areas. These include (but are not limited to): Music, Dance, Voice, Shakespeare, Public Speaking, Comedy, Drama, Heightened Emotion, Magic, Physical Theatre, Clowning/Acro, Mime, Mask, Commedia Dell’Arte, On Camera, Writing, Directing & Design.
