This role is based at the Legend Seven Hills NSW site reporting to the Group SHEQ (Safety Health Environment and Quality) Manager. You will be situated in the Test laboratory on site within a large warehouse and manufacturing environment. The role is to support the business in critical areas. The primary focus will be on electrical and electronic products but will extend into a wide-range of products which support the electrical, power and retail industries.



Provide product compliance advice and support to the business.
Assess new products before release to market.
Assess customer product complaints and to provide a rapid assessment of product technical issues and to assess and implement options for repair or replacement.
Review product complaints and the impact to business performance.
Conduct testing according to NATA and internal test procedures.
Contribute to effective laboratory operations through the application of LEAN principles and best practice safety and quality principles.
Assist in NATA laboratory accreditation requirements, support and document laboratory ISO management systems and key business commitments such as the National Packaging Covenant.
Develop, document and review new test procedures as required
Investigate quality issues related to in-house manufacturing or warehousing issues which affect quality performance and implement Corrective Actions as necessary.

Essential Requirements

Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic tertiary qualified with high level mechanical knowledge and skills especially in hydraulics and materials.

Ability to research issues and liaise with equipment suppliers
Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement in practice International, Australian and Electrotechnical standards
Knowledge of compliance requirements for the electrical and power industry.
Knowledge and interpretation of relevant product standards
High level diagnostic skills to interpret electrical, electronic or mechanical faults
Knowledge and familiarity of QC systems in similar businesses
Experience with SAP and Akeneo business systems
High level oral communication, report-writing and procedural development skills
Experience in medium to large warehouse and manufacturing environments
Knowledge and experience working in an ISO certified and LEAN business
Good knowledge of MS Office suite


Desirable

Experience with Salesforce customer management system
Internal ISO quality/ safety/ environmental/ or NATA internal auditor
Previous experience in a NATA accredited laboratory facility (or equivalent)
Competent in the use of hand forklifts. (walkie-stacker)


Qualifications

Minimum electrical or mechanical engineering or electronics degree or advanced diploma
3-7 years’ experience in a similar role(s).

VAYANG ROLLING HILLS | Basco, Batanes

This undulating picturesque green meadow on the west side of Basco is an ordinary pastureland to a lot of Idiptan (residents of Diptan or Brgy. San Antonio farmers).

A big part of this rolling hills used to be a public land covered with cogon grass which was communally shared by the people of Basco for house roofing. Later on, the government through the agrarian reform program, distributed some tracts of public land to qualified beneficiaries.

The extraordinary beauty of this site was promoted largely by widely distributed photos and much-loved photo shoots. These rolling hills boast a perfect combination of landscapes and seascapes and what appears to be an endless wave of rolling hills. This is the nearest site within Basco proper where the three major island municipalities (Batan, Sabtang and Itbayat) can be viewed all at once.
