Everyone talks about newborn photos, but maternity sessions are a milestone too.

They’re about more than a bump! They’re the quiet pause before the next chapter begins (and we all know that next chapter can be loud, especially at 3am). Marking the moment before everything changes in the best possible way.

Long after you’ve had your baby, it’s hard to imagine what it felt like to be pregnant - to feel those kicks, that anticipation, the weight of a life growing inside you. That’s what these photos hold onto. The start of it all.

Let’s talk about dads and their little girls.

There’s something really special about watching that bond take shape, the way he holds her closely and gently. New territory for this boy dad.

Photos like these mean everything. They hold the start of something, when she was small enough to rest in his hands, and the realisation at just how different, and beautiful, this kind of love would be. A moment they’ll both be grateful to have, one day.

Two of my favourite shots from a Motherhood Mornings session earlier this year. These sessions have kicked off again now that school has resumed. If you’d like to grab a spot, DM me the word MORNINGS and I’ll send you the details.

As we head into the last school term of the year, so many little ones will prepare to step into their next big adventure… big school! For mums, that means saying goodbye to slow mornings with your preschooler, the little rituals you’ve built together, and the sweetness (most of the time) of having them by your side for the day.

Motherhood Mornings are all about pressing pause before this chapter closes. We capture the cuddles, the giggles, the sticky fingers, the way they still fit so perfectly in your lap. And they’re perfect for little bebes too, just like the one pictured here.

These photos become a love letter to this season of life, one you’ll never get back but will always want to remember.

If you’re expecting a little one, now’s the time to reach out. My newborn sessions book out quickly, and I’d love to create something truly unique for your baby and you - something different to any other session I’ve done before.

Your newborn photos don’t need to look a certain way. They just need to feel like you. Let’s challenge the usual ideas of what a newborn session ‘should’ be and dream up something that feels like you, something creative and full of heart.

It always amazes me how often older generations remind us that it goes fast. I’ll mention something about my little ones and straight away they’ll tell me about their ‘babies’ who are now in their 20s or 30s and how it feels like yesterday that they were toddlers running around their feet.

It’s such a gentle nudge! A reminder that life races on whether we’re ready or not. We rely on our memories, but the truth is, we forget more than we realise. The little curls, the belly laughs, the way they once clung to our legs - those moments slip away quietly.

That’s why I believe so deeply in photos. They hold onto what our minds can’t always keep. They give us a way back, years down the track, to the feelings and the chaos and the love of right now.

There’s so much to learn from people who’ve lived full lives, and one of the biggest lessons is this: don’t wait to capture the season you’re in!

It’s not just about everyone smiling at the camera.
It’s the tiny hands, the soft touches, the details you didn’t even notice I was capturing. And that’s why you leave it to me to see the moments that matter most, while you simply live them with your loved ones! Easy!
