Kaid Burgess Photography G'day. Originally from Hillston but now based in Sydney. Enjoy.

This is a little page I set up as a place to share my landscape photos, as well as anything else I see fit to share...but probably photos mostly.

‘Brunnhorn’ (2025).

It’s been a good while between posts - life has been busy.
I’ve been busy training, playing sport, teaching, marking essays, reading etc; with limited time for photography, unfortunately.
However, I have spent the odd afternoon editing some photos from both Iceland and Tassie, which I’ll start publishing here over the coming weeks. Here’s the first.

‘Wilds’ (2025).

I’m in the midst of a frantic dash to get packed for a 6am departure to Tasmania tomorrow - my third trip for the year. I do consider myself very fortunate to have such a playground be so accessible. Here’s a shot from April of this year. I believe this is the last of the keepers from that trip to be published. Enjoy.

‘Treescape’ (2024).

After exploring a small area by the roadside during our trip through the Dolomites I noticed this panoramic scene just as we were about to leave. The uniformity of the trees created a great pattern, and the foggy background provided beautiful separation from the foreground. Enjoy.

Here’s a Tasmanian wombat in the snow. This little fella was on a mission - charging down the hill for lunch.

‘Fading Light of Drama’ (2025).

A bucket list location that makes it hard to go wrong. Fortunately, the light delivered. This experience was a sensory overload. There was howling wind, sand being whipped into my face, cold temperatures, the stench of a putrefied whale carcass not far away on the beach, and grasses being flattened in every which direction. It’s only appropriate that when the light finally showed itself, it did so in dramatic fashion.

‘Impact’ (2025).

It took me a good while to get this shot. The waves kept washing the ice up and down the beach, forcing me to adjust my composition. I finally managed to get this shot.

‘Frozen Portico’ (2025). An icy archway in a glacial paradise. The next day, it was gone.
