At two and a half, Christian is our little explorer. With a remarkable memory, a love for songs, he approaches everyday with excitement and curiosity. He keep us smiling and with his independent spirit and his adorable acting like a little grown up.

Ten years. Same bed, same beautiful light, two very different girls.

In 2016 these two girls came into the studio with their dog, and even then you could see how close they were. Ten years on they're back, teenagers now, and that same closeness is there in every photo, just with two dogs instead of one.

This is exactly why I do what I do. Not the posed, straight backed version of a family. This bit, the real one, the one that shows you how much time has actually passed.

A mum got in touch wanting photos with her three grown up daughters. While we were chatting she mentioned her own mum was in her eighties, and I said how lovely it would be to get three generations of the family together, it's not something that happens for everyone anymore. They loved the idea so much they brought both grandmothers along.

We ended up with beautiful images of the whole family together, plus some extra special ones with just the grandmas. Seven women and one very outnumbered dad, and every single one of them glowing.

This is exactly the kind of session that reminds me why I do this.

Sylvie, seven, and Nico, one, came in for their Vintage Kids session and Sylvie appointed herself chief supervisor for the entire hour.

She had him balanced on the rocking horse, hands steady on the reins, checking on him between every shot. Nico did not seem to mind one bit, mostly because he was too busy flashing that grin at the camera. There was a moment with the red wagon too, Sylvie pulling and Nico along for the ride, looking thoroughly pleased with the arrangement.
This is what having a big sister looks like.

That moment when mum and dad were both leaning in and the baby had absolutely no idea how loved they already were.
The sister was over the moon with her new sibling, all curls and cuddles on the bed like she'd been waiting her whole life for this. Tiny toes, tiny fingers, one very complete family.

Blink and this happens.
In 2025 she was mid movement in a black ballet tutu, pure grace, caught in the window light. In 2026 she's sitting in my studio poised and glowing in one of the most beautiful gowns I've photographed in ages.
One year. That's the whole gap between these two photos.

This is the bit nobody warns you about, how fast it actually goes. If there's a stage of your own kids you've been meaning to get photographed, this is your sign. It doesn't wait around.

At one, Gabrielle is cheeky, funny and full of energy. She's not afraid to take a risk, loves her food and makes friends easily. Smart and affectionate, she brings a lot of joy to everyone around her.

This little one slept through almost the entire session, and honestly, some of my favourite photos come from exactly that.
That soft little smile in her sleep, tucked into a cream knit cardigan. Mum and dad couldn't stop leaning in to kiss her head from either side, completely wrapped up in her. These are the days you think you'll remember perfectly and won't, not the exact details anyway. This is what they looked like.

I had the loveliest family in the studio. Mum, dad and their two teenage girls, plus their two dogs along for the ride.

Teenagers get a bit of a reputation for pulling away from their parents, wanting their own space, doing their own thing. This pair didn't get that memo. Both girls were completely relaxed leaning into their mum and dad for the whole session, and there was laughing from the moment they walked in until the last shot.

This is exactly why I love what I do. Not the posed, stiff kind of family photo, the real one. The one where you can actually see the relationship in the room.

This little man stole my heart today.
Neil came in for his Vintage Kids session and settled into that mustard velvet chair like he owned the place. Suspenders, bare feet, a teddy bear tucked under one arm and an expression that swung between curious and cheeky in the space of a photo. Mum and dad got in on the fun too, lifting him up mid session while he squealed with laughter.
This is exactly why I love this age. They've got so much to say and none of the words yet.
