Christmas Minis are loading!! I am sooooo excited, but at the same time cannot believe we’re at this time of year again. It’s wild how fast 2026 has gone.

Last year was the biggest year my little photography business has had for Christmas Minis, and boy am I hoping this year is even bigger, with lots of familiar and new families.

All my 2025 Christmas Mini clients will receive an exclusive email a whole week prior to bookings opening, to secure their spot for this year!! If you don’t want to miss out either, I’m offering early access 2 days prior to the public release for those who sign up to my VIP email list. You can do this by clicking the link the comments section - or via my Instagram page.

This year’s brand new set will feature deep rich green tones, with pops of traditional reds, white and golds. Think…a life size bear nutcracker, giant Christmas drum props and, as always, many glowing twinkly lights. The photo in the post is taken directly from my backdrop set up test!

I can’t wait to capture your 2026 Christmas memories.

Date information to be released soon!

There’s a stretch of about four weeks where maternity photos really land.

Bump big enough to feel like the photos are about *this* pregnancy. Not so big that shooting for an hour at sunset, or in the studio, is uncomfortable.

If you’re between 32 and 35 weeks right now, this is your window. I only have a few availabilities in the next 1-2 months. Don't miss out, DM me now.

Captured as you are, back lit black and whites, colour images in a field, just you and your bump or with your family. The choice is all yours.

Yesterday I mentioned that I always have my camera in my hand at a shoot, to ensure I can capture all those little in-between images.

The hand hold. The picking of a flower. The spontaneous race. The piggy-back. The true laugh.

These images are all from the one extended shoot, and all were taken whilst moving between locations or waiting for a smaller group from the extended family to get into position. This is why I always remind you not to fret if there are moments of waiting or moments of chaos.

Almost every time, they're amongst my favourite images from the shoot.

If you've been thinking about capturing your family as they are now, send me a DM to lock in your date. I can promise it will be fun.

What’s actually in my bag for a family shoot, in case you’re curious.

1. A small blanket. For sitting, for staging, for the baby.
2. A bottle of water. I hate to admit the amount of times a fly or mozzie have flown into my mouth while I'm calling out silly things to get your kids laughing.
3. Combs and hair elastics. For those windy afternoons or when your daughter inevitably needs a quick tidy after rolling down a hill or jumping off a log.
4. Rattles. To capture your littles' attention or to give them something subtle to play with you.
5. Wipes. My most versatile item. Wiping noses, cleaning marks on clothing, wiping bird p**p off the log I want you to sit on, playing peek-a-boo - the list goes on.

Unsexy? Boring? Yes. But...all absolutely essential.

Where's my camera you ask? Never in my bag. ALWAYS, in my hands - from the second you arrive to the second you climb back into your car. You never know when a little moment will happen. I will share a post with my favourite 'in between' captures soon. Stay tuned.

And if you scroll to the last image, you'll see I often have amazing little helpers who ask for a turn carrying the magical bag!

A couple of weeks ago I shared why I started taking photos of my own kids.

This is what that looks like in someone else’s family. These are always in the 'moments in-between', the ones that you see in the middle of moving from one spot to another or when everyone's having a quick break.

The concentration face. The mid-laugh. The looking-at-mum face. The proud one. The mischief. The quiet-thinking one.

These aren’t the photos that get the most likes on Instagram (or perhaps they are if you're like me). But, they are the photos that get printed and end up on the wall. Because they actually look like your kid.

If you’re booking a session with me, you don’t need to bring a fake smile. You don’t need to wrangle the kids into stillness. Let them be. That’s where the real photos live.

Gallery reveal day is genuinely one of my favourite parts of this work. Whilst I am always filled with nerves when clicking that little 'send' button, I truly love giving these memories to each and every client.

Tahlia let me into her home for a quiet morning shoot with her brand new baby girl. We spent 60 minutes capturing so many beautiful moments in the comfort of their own home - no need for rushing, no need for packing a bag full of all the little things you might need, no moment of panic when you forget the baby wipes (I did this for my firstborn's shoot haha) - just everything on hand for both you and bub.

This is why I do it. I'd love to come to your place too.

Newborn sessions are $525 - your home, your real light, your peace of mind. DM to book a date.

Memories forever. 🤍

One of my favourite Hills park for family photos.

Late autumn/early winter in the Hills is honestly my favourite light of the year.

Soft and golden light alongside parks that are local and relatively quiet. All beautiful from about 3:30pm in June.

If you’re a Sydney family thinking about updating your family photos, now is the perfect window. I have limited availability in the coming months, so send me a DM and we can get your session locked in.

Newborn mornings in your own home are quiet, gentle, and a little chaotic — exactly as they should be.

No backdrop. No setup. Just your real bedroom, real light through your window, and your baby exactly as they are.

These are the photos you’ll look at the most. I promise. 🤍

Memories forever.

The 'what do we wear' question is the one I get most. Here’s what I tell every family:

1. Pick one base colour you love and create outfits around it. I often recommend starting with Mum's outfit and building from there. Think warm neutrals — cream, rust, soft sage, caramel, washed denim — they all photograph beautifully in our Sydney light.

2. Don’t go too matchy matchy. Coordinate. If everyone wears identical items it can risk looking like a school photo. If everyone wears different pieces in the same palette, it looks like a family.

3. Wear what you actually like to wear. Your real cardigan, your real jeans, your favourite dress. The shoot should look like you, not like someone else’s Pinterest board. The bonus is, textures like knit, linen and denim look great in images.

If you’re still figuring it out, send me a photos or links — I’ll help you work it out, it's what I'm here for! 🤍
