December 12 marked the 10th anniversary of All Nippon Airways (ANA) since the relaunch of the Sydney–Tokyo route ✈️

I was truly honoured to be the official photographer for this special celebration and to capture the joyful atmosphere of the evening. From heartfelt speeches by those who have dedicated themselves to navigating a challenging decade — including the COVID-19 years — the event was a genuine celebration of perseverance and commitment to ANA’s outstanding service.

The event was beautifully wrapped up with a performance by ANA’s in-house band, made up of their own employees. A memorable evening filled with pride, gratitude, and great energy.

It was an honour to photograph this incredible model, Takeru. He’s a personal trainer and is now competing in one of Japan’s top modelling contests. His positivity and motivation are truly inspiring. Wishing him all the best for his big day this weekend!

During my trip to Japan this autumn, I made a short visit to Osaka (大阪), the city where I was born.

Osaka is the third-largest city in Japan and is known for its rich history, distinctive food culture, and friendly, outgoing locals.

This time, I explored both the newly redeveloped Umeda (梅田) area—now home to modern shopping complexes, redesigned station spaces, and impressive architecture—and the nostalgic streets of Nakazakichō (中崎町), a preserved neighbourhood known for its old wooden houses, vintage cafés, and creative shops.

It was fascinating to see how Osaka continues to evolve while still holding onto its traditional charm.

Finally had the chance to experience Vivid Sydney 2025! The mesmerising lights were absolutely stunning, as always. Fortunately, the winter night wasn’t too cold, and the crowds were manageable since it was a Monday. What a magical evening!
