Late last night I got the news from OS that I'd placed second in the Landscape Category of the IPA Awards with a series of ice images from our workshop in Svalbard last March.

Now I do love these awards - they are very prestigious and I've won the Aerial/Drone category twice before (this was the same competition where Mary Trantino and I travelled to New York in 2019 to accept the trophy - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DkD2i4Vdc/).

The competition gets more and more competitive each year so I become more grateful and humble (I hope) as the years go on. Taking a few nice photos and entering ANY competition doesn't automatically result in an award for me (or anyone else for that matter!). I'm always BLOWN AWAY by the standard of imagery produced by anyone taking photos these days.

Speaking of which - congratulations to Isabella who won the category and who's work I've admired for some time now. Congratulations to all who did well in this comp also. AWESOME WORK YOU GUYS!
