I've just finished this super dooper fun artwork in Mirani, Qld. I think it really captures the essence of family life in the Pioneer Valley. Thanks Mirani SHS for having me!

Mirani State High School is proud to celebrate the completion of our stunning new mural, made possible through the success of two grant applications. Thanks to the generous support of BHP Community Grants and Whitehaven Coal Community Grants, this vision has become a reality.

We are especially grateful to the incredibly talented Joel Fergie (The Zookeeper), whose creativity and skill have brought this artwork to life for our school community to enjoy.

We sincerely acknowledge and thank both organisations for their generosity and support in helping us create something truly special for Mirani SHS.

It was a huge honour to make this piece in such a prominant location at the school. Huge thankyou to everyone involved from Ferny. A big thankyou to Nathaniel Chapman Art who helped make this piece very special with the incorperation of his artwork in the design🙏🏽

Ive just finished this incredibly special painting for - a huge thanks to for facilitating this and many works from some of my favorite artists over the last decade.

There are many others i would love to thank for helping me paint a work like this, so close to my heart, including my family and some very important helpers along the way. You know who you are.

This work explores nostalgia and memory, depicting my dad Clay, telling my little Lottie, a story from a family camping trip in Northern Australia in the mid-90s. The trip nearly ended in disaster for our family and close friends but decades later, the story is told with a lighthearted tone, creating a sense of adventure and optimism. The piece highlights the contrast between the reality of the past and how it is remembered and retold over time. It suggests that memories can shift, and the way we recall them can change their meaning.

I want to give a big shout to my sister and fellow artist who’s recent paintings inspired this kind of story telling.

Ive enjoyed delving into old memories and realized so much in the process.

With the cyclone right around the corner, I’m taking the time to stay home and paint. At least for now anyway…

Really enjoyed painting this poolside back drop a couple of months back. Some beautiful natives and some sentimental ‘easter eggs’ scatted throughout the piece for the friendly family.
